ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! It is not anti-immigrant it is anti ILLEGAL immigrant.

Okay, then answer this simple question, please?

If all the current people inside our borders are made 'legal', and documented...given papers, etc., amd then by a pre-set date...say, January 1st, 2010 anybody without proper documentation will be summarily deported.

..would that satisfy you and make you happy?

Why would anyone be dumb enough to believe that would happen? The same things were promised in 1987, and here we are.

NO.

They are lawbreakers...they crossed the border, stole identity and worked illegally at least..... You know full well another amnesty will bring MORE. But that’s what you probably want. The real question is why.

No. They will be illegal for me, since they entered this country illegally. Also those who will enter then, will be to me illegals, because they enter because of bad law. Legal immigrants are those with the educational and labor skills that are needed, who apply in their home countries for a visa and wait their turn, instead of hopping across the border.

DCprofiteer, the guy who used to call himself an ‘ultra liberal’ on his profile (before editing it out) and who admitted profiting from illegals is back at it in 2009.

That would be a sick manipulation of law. Would setting all thieves free make America a better place?

It's about having personal clarity. People who come in through the FRONT DOOR make good Americans.

Such an action would be rewarding lawbreaking, so no. Allowing an unfettered influx of immigration, legal or illegal, into what has every appearance of being the worst recession any of us have ever experienced, is foolhardy in the extreme. All the dramatic handwringing over mislabeled "anti-immigrant" sentiment will turn into genuine anti-immigrant sentiment. The apparent lack of concern for the citizenry of the United States is driving the anger. But, keep banging away at it, and ultimately you'll prove yourselves "right."

After illegal aliens are given amnesty and the vote, we can say hello to our Democrat run future. The electoral votes in the southwest will not belong to Republicans.

2000 Election
Bush: Electoral Votes: 271
Gore: Electoral Votes: 266

I want people who wish to come to this country to wait their turn and work through the process. If people who are here illegally then rewarded with blanket legal status, what is the point of ever following laws that are currently on the book?

ABSOLUTLEY NO,,, It wouldnt make me happy. Let me ask you, if we say everyone who robbed banks before the same date was forgiven, but then we would aggressively go after all the new robbers? What have the early ones done to deserve citizenship? Does a burglar in your home get to stay if he signs a rental agreement??

And every amnesty bill promises amnesty, then enforcement,,then never delivers on the enforcement, PERIOD.

Also,, what of the many many good Europeans who follow our immigration laws and apply and wait, endure lotteries,,etc,,, while millions of chinese and mexicans get US Visas as the reward for their lawlessness?
Send them all home to fix their own 3rd world country.

As that would be merely rewarding illegal behavior, of course he wouldn’t be happy.
