My Dad taught me a number of rules of business, such as:
1. Never mess with a guy who knows where the bodies are buried.
2. Never corner some one with nothing left to lose.
3. Never underestimate the power of a lunatic.
Seems that the Democratic leadership has never learned those rules, or if they did, they have forgotten them —but at their own peril.

He's a perfect example of a pathological NARCISSIST! He is NUTS and has no clue! You're completely misreading him. Was his handling of the Roland Burris Senate appointment brilliant? Absolutely! This man is a canny politician. He knows exactly what he's doing. He comes across to those who aren't familiar with him as hot wired, but he's a very canny politician.

I really don't think Blago has
anything on anybody.
You know who this guy is? He's the political equivalent of Ted Bundy. Remember when Ted was finally caught? How he basked in the attention? Hammed it up in interviews, maintained his innocence, smiled and waved at the cameras? Even in the courtroom he was playing to the gallery and smiling.
That's all this is. A psychopath who can't help himself is playing out his fantasy.

And he knows who he dealing with both on the state and federal level.I wish more people would observe this point. Emanuel inherited his district, with all of the active accounts. they were heavily involved in each other's campaigns. Discovery, if it gets that far, will be a really good show. I'd like to see how the party slimes out of this in one piece.

Blago is the biggest narcissist ever to hold high elected office in America. He's the American Mugabe. I respectfully disagree with you on this. That title goes to the Messiah. No question about it.

This guy does not want to be frogmarched to prison. The thought must be terrifying to him. If he can can take down bambi and a few chicago thugs, he's going to do it to save his own skin. If he has something "provable" on them he's not going to let them enjoy basking in the glory of being on top while he wallows in federal prison.
That's what I'm hoping for!

No discovery?I was listening to Fox Radio while awaiting the Blago presser. The DJ, who was also waiting on the presser announced the date having just come over the wire. I'd previously heard the last couple weeks of January, but I'm sure now it'll run into February.
Discovery will likely occur starting now and into the beginning of the Senate trial. The Senate and Blago's attorneys will have to deal with that through Thomas Fitzgerald. Something which, in itself, could be very interesting (and enlightening).

Agreed. He is crazy like a genius. He knew exactly what he was doing when he appointed Burris. Burris is no innocent and his own indiscretion points directly at BO....PLUS Blank-Ohe knows who's crimes are connected to which minion.

Anyone else catch Ted Kennedy’s name drop?

They're really just two different sides of the same coin.
Some of the craziest criminals in history were both at the same time. Brilliant at what they did but completely crazy by any normal measure of the term.

I’m looking for text on what Shep said.
Still can’t believe it.
To: marshmallow
The ‘Insane Lone Gunman’ theory. It would be convenient for the democrat party if true, but alas...
To: mojitojoe
I sent an e-mail to Fox also. Couldn’t hear Blago because of Shep’s screaming.
