This picture reminds me of how much I miss Reagan. Oh on the other picture, Clinton, Bush (SR), Reagan, Ford, notice one wanna be in the back, Bob Dole

I’m sure Barfsack is constantly being furnished new suits because the flag pin burns holes in the lapels.

I agree. At least Cheney is leadership material. We would have benefited greatly from him being in the top spot for the last eight years. We wouldn’t be where we are right now, if he had been. He can communicate. That is so vitally important, and we’re in no small part, seeing precisely why right now. IMO, Sarah has the right ideals. I think she could she could benefit from a bit more seasoning, but she is a great hope for the future. She is ten times the man McCain is.

I wonder if we could entice all five to make a movie, the five stooges? It could be our way out of this mess. I wish some deep pocket figure from the right would offer a sum they couldn’t refuse, say $100 million per...

It would certainly be worth it.

Her instincts are certainly sound. I do think she could benefit from a bit more experience under her belt though. As I told another poster, she is a great hope for the future. As for Cheney, we would be far better off right now if he had been in charge.

One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn’t belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?

Did you guess which thing was not like the others?
Did you guess which thing just doesn’t belong?
If you guessed this one is not like the others,
Then you’re absolutely...right!

LOL. I laughed so hard I think I pulled something ...

It would rake in millions.

"Whether we're Democrat or Republican we care deeply about this country," Bush said. "All of us who have served in this office understand that the office itself transcends the individual."

How true. No matter the individual (or party) in office, we can always count on the President drastically expanding the size of the Federal government, saddling states and local entities with unfunded mandates, and interfering in the affairs of foreign countries. Will Congress ever reassert itself over the Executive branch?

Thanks to weegee for posting that shot (Nixon’s funeral?).

I’m too lazy to actually find out for sure, but when Nixon was alive, I’m pretty sure that six living pres/expres was the most in a very long time, perhaps not since early in the 20th century? Late 19th? Even earlier? Ford, Carter, and Bush (in that shot) all had one or less terms in office, and adding Nixon, barely more than one, creating an unusual situation. Plus, the Gipper (oldest when he left office I think) and Ford both lived a long time.

[GGG ping list members, I beg your indulgence]
