“Mister Obama has no large Rolodex of friends”

That’s what Hillary told him, right before she told him she should be SoS.

Sounds a little too much like another narcissist that is famous in history (or infamous being the better word).

That little austrian maggot didn’t have friends either.

That candidate would have a very big Rolodex of trusted friends who could be called upon for higher office when the candidate won.

Yes, but that method didn't work out so well for GWB.

The author makes some good points that have often occurred to me, as well. Who the heck is this guy, Obama? Nobody had even heard of him until he suddenly emerged as the annointed one for the presidency.

Obama doesn’t make friends easily. He’s not that kind of person. He doesn’t need friends. He needs mirrors, microphones, admirers, worshipers, sycophants, fawning adulators, and supplicants . . . but not friends.

This is something creepy that is true of any sociopath, which I am firmly convinced is what Obama truly is. The only thing he wants is to be in power. And somehow a group of people came along who found him to be the ideal unknown who they could get into power to carry out their designs. People like Ayers, Axelrod, Emanuel.

I still think that Hillary and the rest of the old line Dems were so incredulous at the possibility of a complete unknown, a nobody like Obama, being put forth as the candidate that they didn't take him seriously. Sociopaths are great manipulators, and there is nobody easier to manipulate than the press (remember, all these people are communications majors, which anyone who has ever gone to college realizes is the major for the dumbest and most frivolous students, mostly girls and gay guys who aren't even bright enough to remember lines and be actors). Once he got the press it was all smooth sailing from there.

The big question is who put the money behind him to get him going. He obviously has raked in a lot through corruption, and so have his Chicago buddies; but a lot more money than that went into it, and I doubt that any of them contributed very heavily from the financial point of view. Hillary and Bill may have thought they were good at following the money, but they were pikers compared to these people, and they really didn't know how to respond until too late.

There is a certain irony in the fact that electing a complete nobody has meant that he is having to rely on the Clintons and their stock players, of course. I think, actually, that a lot of Dems themselves were pretty panic stricken and stunned when Mr. Nobody won, and I think the things you're seeing with Reid, for example, and others are expressions of this. They may hate their country, but they don't want to go down with the ship and I think they are afraid that the latter is exactly what's going to happen under Mr. Nobody.

Good piece. Mark Steyn was talking about this this morning. He said he had to pick people like Gupta who he can at least know from tv. LOL.

That’s what I’ve been saying. His ONLY identifiable friends, so far, have been Communists, terrorists, black Muslim fanatics, Chicago ward heelers, and abortionists.

NO OTHER FRIENDS have yet appeared out of the woodwork. No college roommates, no childhood friends, no business associates, nothing but a fistfull of Communists, terrorists, Muslims, and crooks.

This is the same thought that came to me over the past weeks when he kept putting Clintoneers into his administration.

The only change will be in the positions that will be filled by past Clinton appointees.

This was something I had noted at the beginning of Barry O’s popularity. He doesn’t have people who are loyal to HIM, only those loyal to their own agenda. He is trusting in Hilary’s advice . . . but he doesn’t know how he’s going to be burned by that blind trust.

This is interesting to watch. I’m awaiting the implosion. If it gets too bad, he can always produce his original vault birth certificate and just proclaim “oops, my bad” and bow out of the stress of actually having to WORK. I just don’t think he thought this ‘I want to be President’ childish idea through to the reality of actually arriving at the Presidency.

Talk about on the job training . . . he’s got so few administrative skills . . . unless you want to call “present” as a skill.

This was discussed during the election. It was said that there was no one to speak up for Obama as a character reference, no one who could say, yes, I’ve known him for twenty years and worked with him on many projects, or knew him in school, etc.

Of course, there were such people, but Obama wasn’t giving references. It would have destroyed the mystique.

The fact is, the people he would have given as character references are still around, but they aren’t the kind of people that would have done him any good.
