Good on Wal-Mart. Maybe Wal-Mart should run our health care system? ;) I suppose it depends on what "inactive ingredients" are added by their Chinese suppliers.

Since it’s probably made in China, I wonder what else it contains?
It is so stupid that the enviro-weenies win over people with cronic pulmonary diseases. Makes you just want to go choke a hippie, so he’ll know how it feels. :)

Wal-Mart says it has the answer.
Go Wallyworld!!!!
Walmart has done more for health care than Congress in the last decade.
Walmart's $4 generic prescriptions led the way.
Some times I wonder if we wouldn't be better off if Wallyworld did run the Nation. And they haven't even asked for a Federal bailout yet.

Sadly, they won’t work any better than the other non-CFC ones. The new propellant is worthless, not to mention corn-based (a major allergen to many).
The first night I relied my new HFA inhaler, I ended up in the emergency room. I had never been in the emergency room for asthma ever before.

WalMart Ping!!!!!!!!!!
Let me know if you want on/off the WalMart ping list -— be advised most on the list are WalMart shoppers, and while acknowleging there are faults, we’re pretty adamant in our opposition to unfounded nonsense.

My son is a Wally World Pharmacy Technician and both the Military and local civilian communities have benefited greatly from the low cost prescriptions available through them. I have heard of some Super Wal-Marts that actually have urgent care clinics available. Once again the private sector shows the stupid bureaucrats how to really run a health care program at a low cost to the consumer.

Good for Walmart selling them at a cheaper price. Bad on the FDA for caving to the EPA and getting rid of CFC inhalers. The new inhalers work like crap and aren’t even worth the $9.

The same morons who brought you man-made global warming also brought you the “Hole in the Ozone” Layer and the unproven theory that CFCs were the cause.
Nobody even knew there was a hole in the ozone layer until someone with new measurement equipment noticed one.
Then the liberal theorists went to work and took away Freon, CFCs and lots of other energey saving and life saving materials.
This is just another cause to advance global socialism.

W00t!!! This was going to be a real problem for me. The problem now is that I hate Walmart pharmacies with a passion. customer service is nil. But their pricing makes it a necessary evil some times.

Ping. I gathered your names from another thread on the ridiculous CFC ban. Here is some price relief while we tilt at the windmill to restore effective emergency relief to asthma and COPD sufferers.

Don’t they mean breathalyzer? Inhalator?

It’s really quite insane how Congress banned asthma inhalers that work instantly, in favor of something that uses a propellant toxic to humans all because the enviroweenies said so.

I am under the care of one of the premier asthma specialist in the US. He is at Penn and he is one super doctor. He has been petitioning the FDA for 2 years to go back to the old albuterol propellant as he thinks that HFA is an irritant to the airway. Unfortunately almost all the inhalers are HFA driven. I am pretty sure Ventolin is as well. I use the Proventil inhaler and also take Symbicort which is a inhaled steroid with a long term beta-2 agonist similar to Advair. That too is HFA propelled. One way around the HFA is to use an auxilary chamber attached to the inhaler. It is kind of a bong type device by it does work. Unfortunately it is not pocket sized.
But If you all think HFA inhalers are expensive you should check out the cost of the immunotherapeutic I am now on. Every 2 weeks I have to have 3 injections of Xolair (omalizumab) which is a IgG blocking monoclonal antibody. I have just started this but I am told it works wonders. Some patients throw their inhalers away altogether. But each injection costs $1500 so for me thats $4500 every 2 weeks!!!! Thank God I have a good prescription plan! I just hope it works. I will know in a month... Severe asthma at the age 53 sucks...
