Looks like Israel really snookered them with this one. Hamas was convinced they wouldn’t strike on a Sabboth. Many came out of their holes and their pieces will be put into new ones.

ANALYSIS / IAF strike on Gaza is Israel’s version of ‘shock and awe’

“However the Israeli opening salvo is not merely another “surgical” operation or pinpoint strike. This is the harshest IDF assault on Gaza since the territory was captured during the Six-Day War in 1967.”

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “There was no sign of an Israel ground offensive accompanying the air attacks.

Israel urged its residents living near Gaza to seek refuge in secure locations in apparent anticipation of Hamas rocket fire.”

I'm sorry, I don't think Olmert/Peres/Barak/Livni will allow the IDF to mount a proper offensive. This will be a Leabnon war redux, I'm afraid.

The one silver lining is that this time there WILL be an election- Hopefully Kadima and Labor are voted out of power.

In the meantime we will have to follow the international "news" agencies feeding the world with pali-agitprop. Waiting for the bombed wedding cermonies, day-care centers and hospitals to show up in the media.

France (in the guise of EU) has taken the lead in starting to condemn the "disproportionate use of force by both sides" (one must be grateful even for small mercies). And the statement ends with the bromide of all bromides:

"There is no military solution in Gaza."

Of course there is - it is just a question of how much political fall out the Israelis are willing to accept.

From Power Line this morning.....Contrary to the implication of the White House statement, however, Hamas's reason for being among "the Palestinian people" is terroristst. The linked AP story quotes a Hamas spokesman speaking on a Gaza radio station. The Hamas spokesman pungently states that "Hamas will continue the resistance until the last drop of blood." Is anybody listening?

I imagine the Jews blew up 6 or 7 wedding parties and 2 or 3 orphanages...

Oh, at least.

They never call for restraint when the rockets are pouring in on Israel....only when Israel decides it’s had enough and strikes back.

From BBC:
The BBC’s reporter in the Gaza Strip, Rushdi Aboualouf, described the chaos as Israeli warplanes fired missiles at Hamas targets, killing at least 155 Palestinians.
Israeli planes are still flying over Gaza and they have just targeted another Hamas [security] compound in the middle of the Gaza Strip, in a place called Khan Younis.
We can see from our office here in Gaza, in the middle of Gaza City, ambulances are still evacuating the injured from buildings and school kids are trying to find secure places.
People who were going to their work were turned back and went home, and most of the residents in Gaza have been ordered by the Ministry of Health to stay indoors.
The mosques in Gaza are calling the people here to go to the hospitals and to donate blood. There is no room in the hospitals as far as we’ve heard from Hamas sources to treat the people.
No safe places
It’s a very bad situation... There were Israeli aeroplanes everywhere, hitting everywhere. You could see smoke from north to south, from west to east. The people are really in a panic. The main object for the people now is to find a secure place to secure their family.
It’s hard to find a secure place in Gaza. Gaza has no shelters, it has no safe places. The Hamas security compounds are in the middle of the city - it’s not the kind of place where you see compounds outside the cities.
I have witnessed one of the compounds - which is 20m away from my house - I was standing on the balcony and I have seen the Israeli airplanes hitting the place.
Some of my balcony was damaged and my kid was injured and it’s a very, very serious situation here in Gaza, the people can’t do anything except stay indoors.

The BBC’s reporter in the Gaza Strip, Rushdi Aboualouf

I'm sure the BBC reporter is absolutely neutral and objective in his reporting, especially being dependent on the Hamas security forces for his life and health. /s

Maybe these subhuman animals should stop their BS for 10 seconds and use some of the Arab oil money to build some shelters for their wives and kids.

MUZZIES are more stupid than a box of rocks.

Wonder if they are expecting POTUS MUZZIE HUSSEIN to give them a bailout, I can see it now, my tax dollars going to these filthy scumbags to rebuild.

And when that ship gets sunk we have a war between Iran and Israel. Since both sides appear to want it the sooner the better. This war needs to happen.

Holy Heck; the BBC reporter doesn’t even make the WEAKEST attempt at objectivity. Has he been reporting on Hamas’s constant aggression during the ceasefire? No? I’m shocked.

Wow - the “residents” of Gaza must be livid with Hamas for bringing this destruction to their peaceful community.
