This was the emotional moment that President-elect Barack Obama scattered his grandmother's ashes into the sea.

With half-sister Maya Soetoro-Ng by his side, Mr Obama bid his final farewell to the woman he called the rock of his family at the Hawaiian beauty spot. Barefoot and wearing sunglasses, Mr Obama embraced his half-sister as they paid their last respects to Madelyn Dunham, who died of cancer, aged 86, just two days before he won the election.

Now the DNA evidence is gone to sea. She sleeps with the fishes.

I hope he bought a carbon credit before polluting the ocean.

All choked up, dreaming of the day when babies born alive can be disposed of in the same safe, sanitary manner.

Weirdos.

Odds are looking slim that Mrs. Dunham enstrusted a good friend with a safe deposit key.

The poor woman who raised him deserved better. Why would Mrs Obama not be there with her husband? There is more to this family than meets the eye.

When Obomba gets finished with them they'll have disappeared.

Actually, Michelle was there. Only Hussein and his half sister spilled the ashes though.

But you are correct about there being more to this family than meets the eye. Last time Michelle and Hussein were in Hawaii, Dunham was still dying, and only Hussein went to see her.

Yeah, there’s more than meets the eye here.

Birth certificates and hospital records sure do produce a lot of ashes.

I find this very sad. The only person in Obama’s life to give him stability and direction died before his election. He seems very much a man alone. We are living in some very uncertain and dangerous times we should all pray Mr. Obama proves us wrong and is a successful president. So far most of his cabinet picks haven't been too scary, lets hope he's a pragmatist and not a wild eyed liberal. Merry Christmas everyone. I need to go to church soon and than prepare Christmas dinner for 19. Have a great day.

And the bottom photo is where he throws the can into the sea as well:

What was he thinking?

The memorial service was held how long after her death? Sorry, but everything that man does is highly suspect.

Obama had rejected his white heritage, which is extremely racist. He is in my prayers and my hope is knowing God is in Control.

We are living in some very uncertain and dangerous times we should all pray Mr. Obama proves us wrong and is a successful president.

I have posted similar thoughts in other recent threads.

Obama is inheriting a mess. Politics aside, we should hope he is successful in addressing the major issues -- economic and security related. Because, if he fails, we all will suffer.

I wouldn't claim his cabinet selections are, as most of the MSM have, praise-worthy, brilliant, spectacular, yada yada yada. But, as you posted, they are not real scary. It could have been worse. [Of course, things could change in his 2nd term, a la Bush 2 election 2.]
