I have closely researched the constitution and bylaws of the Republican State Committee, and nowhere do I find a provision for designating registered Republicans as RINOs (Republicans in name only). So who is it that has the authority to make such a designation?
The RINO designation is being bandied about by certain self-appointed Reagan Republicans as though they have the sole claim to be real Republicans. Was it not Ronald Reagan who popularized the phrase "the big tent," under which all Republicans to the left or right were welcome? Now we have this shrinking minority of so-called Reagan Republicans claiming that they have the authority to tag certain members of our party as RINOs.
I have been called a RINO because I do not always march in lock step with all that my party dictates. I am registered Republican, and I challenge anyone who does not like it to try to remove my party designation. They will have a fight on their hands that they will lose.

The New Hampshire Republican Party has a state party platform. You may access it online at http://www.nhgop.org/0708platform.aspx. If you believe in and support most of what the platform says, then you are a Republican. If you disagree with most of what the platform says, then you are a RINO. A Republican who believes in what Democrats believe in, and who habitually votes for Democrats, and who votes with Democrats if he or she is an officeholder, is not a Republican. He or she is a "RINO". It's as simple as that.
LOL! So true! BUMP!
Well, now we have a clear and succinct definition of “RINO”...
“I have closely researched the constitution and bylaws of the Republican State Committee, and nowhere do I find a provision for designating registered Republicans as RINOs (Republicans in name only).”
Nowhere in the bylaws of the RSC do you see the designation of a—hole either and yet...
He doesn’t say what his political views are, but he sure sounds like a RINO to me.
Indeed, me thinks he doth protest too much.
I registered (I) for this election cycle. In the paraphrased words of the Gipper, “I didn’t leave the party, the party left me.”
“Reagan Conservatives” are leaving the republican party in droves. The last ones left CT and NH years ago...
If you have to research what is a RINO, you probley are one.
The RINO doth protest too much, methinks. (apology to Shakespeare)
I live near Chicago, and, in this area, the party left me. My congressman (Mark Kirk) and my state rep. (Elizabeth Coulson) are Republicans who are pro-choice, pro-gun control, pro-gay marriage, and pro-illegal alien.
Sounds like someone called him on it, too.
If it looks like a RINO,
and spends money like a RINO,
and wants to redistribute weatlth like a RINO,
and disregards the Constitution like a RINO,
and sacrifice jobs for environmental myths like a RINO,
and believe in separation of church and state like a RINO,
THEN YOU CAN BET THAT MO-FO IS A RINO!
...your name is Richard L. Fortin, you live in Manchester and you write silly letters to The Concord Monitor.

Olympia Snowe is also a “registered republican.” And Lowell Weicher and...

How about “dumb@$$? Is that in there? That’ll work.
I can’t believe there’s a giraffe in that photo!!
Actually, only a democrat can whine like that and not feel like a total weenie. He thus blows his own cover.
