Caroline Kennedy As America's Princess Leia
Reader's Digest ^ | December 18 | Carl M. Cannon

Posted on 12/20/2008 6:53:59 AM PST by PghBaldy

Yet, it seems that she never quite recovered her voice, the voice she muted briefly on that sad autumn day. Until 2008. Somehow, the candidacy of Barack Obama rekindled in her the joy of Camelot, the spring-like promise that had been deferred in Caroline’s heart for 45 years...Caroline Kennedy has made some of us feel young again. In his own way, Barack Obama has, too. This is not, as readers of this blog know, the expression of any partisan view: It's more like a simple expression of unfiltered emotion, one reflecting the generational longings of those who never wanted an assassin's bullet to have the last word...John did not survive that summer, his death being yet another cruel blow to his only sibling, sister Caroline. I was reminded recently of a fateful scene in Star Wars—the movie, not the nuclear defense shield. [The link is here, about three minutes and ten seconds into the clip...] Yoda, the Jedi master, is ruminating with Obi-Wan Kenobi about young Luke Skywalker, another Crown Prince whose enthusiasms as a pilot sometimes outweigh his good judgment—and who has a sister of his own.

“Reckless is he,” says Yoda. “Now, matters are worse.”

“That boy is our last hope,” says Obi-Wan.

“No,” replies Yoda. “There is another.”

I want to feel thin again, Yoda.

Wrong......

Princess leia was a true monarch

this kennedy is an east coast spoiled brat elitist who thinks She is entitled to be crowned with a senate seat
because She is a Leftist....and related to “camelot”

screw that. someone tell that Brainless Moron that this is America

Well, as goofy as they may seem, it's more like reality to me.

I can't believe every politico in office has a penchant for nepotism. I feel like our Country is being run like an evil Kingdom than a Republic.

JMHO

Camelot came a lot, and it's still coming.

To the barricades!

If her name was Carolyn Schlossberg, would anybody care? My point is ... it is all about the name, not the person. What do you know about Carolyn Schlossberg?

If my father gets assassinated and my Uncle is a drunken sot with brain cancer, can I get appointed to a senate seat?

Probably not. I belong to the NRA, the VRWC and am a registered Monarchist.

I think it's just embarrassing to watch a grown man wax this rhapsodic over an incompetent lawyer with a famous name.

Note to liberals: "Camelot" was a myth. So was the one with King Arthur.

You did a good job. The blog sounds like some pothead trying to sound philosphical. I particularly like Caroline Kennedy has made some of us feel young again. In his own way, Barack Obama has, too. This is not, as readers of this blog know, the expression of any partisan view: It's more like a simple expression of unfiltered emotion, . . .Yeah, I'll just bet she voted Republican. "Simple expression" = wallowing in it. What a trip!

Caroline Kennedy should stick to what she does best — breeding horses.
