...UAW?
..If you dont like the UAW dont join. LOL..
Good Lord I wouldn’t dream of it. My husband spent 25+ years in a UAW plant as a supervisor(non union for those unfamiliar), which is why we have no sympathy for the UAW. They have overstayed their welcome.
As far as your comment on our grandchildren needing to know a foreign language to survive, try “children”. If you have a second language, you are golden in any line of work.
Congress and Bush don't give a fat rat's backside what the people think - they're going to push their brand of socialism/communism on the people and they believe that they have the military might to prevent us from stopping it. They are all worthless, thieving b#*&%rds - all of them. They proved it with the last bailout, and will continue to do so until they use up all the credit that the federal government can borrow.
I am so disgusted in Bush and this congress - what a disappointment they are. An embarassment really.
Easy for you to say! I didn’t say I wanted the bailout I just said it’s idiotic to punish everyone because you have this hatred for the UAW. Buying foreign is against everything I believe in. Go ahead and support China, Japan, and every other foreign carmaker out there.
Agreed. And, as someone else noted, while 4 years of Carter gave us 8 years of Reagan, look what 8 years of Bush has wrought.
My Lord, can't anybody worth a damn get the nomination of either major party anymore???
It doesn't take any "hatred" to realize that the UAW is screwing both their customers and the taxpayers. I was a member of both groups. I shall be a member of only one in the future.
No hatred necessary; just disgust.
Getting McCain to vote in favor of something that over 80% of the people opposed is not "trying to get McCain elected". The bailout cost McCain the election. As I've said before, 1000 Sarah Palins could not drag his RINO butt to the winners circle - he's just too much socialist baggage.
In the 50's your car was an extension of your self. People could tell a lot about you by the car you drove.
In the 50's and 60's every September was a time of excitement because the new models were coming out. There are no new models these days. Just the same old boring crap year after year after year.
I only buy new cars when my old ones wear out to the point that they are no longer "transportation vehicles".
What are you going to do, vote the other party in?
“Good Lord I wouldnt dream of it.”
I was making a joke...

Which is understandable, since the 5 German cars & Jag are in the shop most of the time so it's a good thing you have a Chevy truck to get around in. LMAO
You're right though. Congress screwed up the automakers here with their laws. And they want to paper over the problems they created with money? And Bush got talked into it too? He should know better.
The German cars are never in the shop, I maintain them very well on my own. 3 BMWs, 1 Mercedes, 1 Porsche.
The Jag is admittedly another story. Big block 12s are a pain in the A double S.
The old 2wd 350 4 bbl Chevy truck is my favorite beater for hauling, trailer towing boats or racing cars and hunting.

Sorry. I’m sitting here in Northern Michigan with 3 ft of snow outside and near blizzard conditions and it is only December 19. I’m afraid my brain is froze and all sense of humor left long ago.
Have a Merry Christmas.
Yep, and it was easy to tell what model year it was just at a glance...
Once in a while I drive through hoods playing 'Big Boss Man' by the Grateful Dead kind of loud. And they don't know what to make of it!!! LOL!
Cheap thrills. And some inner-city mother goose.
This is an UNCONSTITUTIONAL diversion of funds appropriated for a completely different purpose, and appears to be a criminal act.
No, the Taxpayer is protected, because this debt is super-senior, so if they go into bankruptcy, the Taxpayer is first in line!
::eye roll::
Don’t forget an almost veto proof/Filibuster proof majority for the dems in both the House and Senate!
How about the House Wifes? My industry is doing well (knock on wood), but the Home Makers need a bail out now!
