ROGERS, Ark. An Arkansas woman has given birth to her 18th child.
Michelle Duggar delivered the baby girl by Caesarean section Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. The baby, named Jordyn-Grace Makiya Duggar, weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches long.
"The ultimate Christmas gift from God," said Jim Bob Duggar, the father of the 18 children. "She's just absolutely beautiful, like her mom and her sisters."
The Duggars now have 10 sons and eight daughters.
Jim Bob Duggar said Michelle started having contractions Wednesday night. She needed the C-section, her third, because the baby was transverse. Jim Bob said both baby and mother were doing well Thursday night.
"We both would love to have more," he said.

Awesome.
13 children! Wow! God bless you big time! (I guess He already has!)
The most amazing thing is her boss is still holding her job for when she returns from maternity leave.
Ok, I saw one of their “shows” on the Dish, and they seem to be great parents and all, but I get a sick feeling that 18 is just.....ummm....wrong in some way. Irresponsible maybe? Have they heard of birth control? Can they really give each child the attention that the child needs? How’s about the Mrs. has her tubes tied or daddy gets the old snip snip? Just sayin’....18? Come on!
Dear nOOb,
http://www.freerepublic.com/home.htm
by the time they made it to TV most of the “heavy lifting” was done! :)
you notice that dazed look on Johns’ face most of the time?
Thanks for posting this.
stay classy!
Congratulations to the entire family!
Compared to Dennis Miller or anyone who posts his filth? Spare us, please.
We risk life and limb walking through our house, too ... and that was before the dog arrived to trip us with her great bony legs.
I agree that when people put their lives on TV, it’s legitimate to observe that one thinks there are better ways to do things. However, I don’t think that you, or anyone with sense, would say they’d rather not have been born than grow up healthy, well-educated, well-fed, well-dressed, and surrounded by a loving family, but without some of the options (in childhood) that you and I feel comfortable making available.
No flames from me. All of your points are well taken. I cannot honestly say that I have much knowledge of this particular family; I watched about 15 minutes of the show once. I remember being impressed with how organized the mother was and how well trained the children were.
I am sure there are problems when the camera is not around, and there is bound to be at least one rebel — probably the baby of the bunch. But, I suspect, that the kids all care so much about the family that they make an extra effort when the camera crew shows up to behave.
When I was one of 9 kids, we had our spats, and my mother, Lord rest her soul, had to holler at us sometimes, but when we were out in public we were good as gold, and my parents often got compliments on our wonderful manners. But Mom and Dad had trained us well, and Mother always reminded us before we went to church or shopping of what was expected of us.
The First Amendment is not for things you agree with.
And the relevance of that to your comment or mine is ...?
Let me know when Congress tries to stop you from making vulgar comments about the Duggars, or me from calling you a homo. Then we’ll be on the same side.
The world is not overpopulated.
Ah no, I haven’t. He’s just quiet. They seem like good kids and I’m glad they share a little of their lives with us, letting people know that large families can work.
They both deserve special "atta girls" IMO though for showing people that go "EWWWW" "18" , that it can be normal and a blessing.
Congrats, but just damn !
