No she doesn’t. When communists enact laws they only enforce them against their political enemies.

This is big news. Now the liberals want to extend the "Fairness Doctrine from the airwaves to cable and satellite.

It will never be considered because it will violate the "First Amendment"

“It should and will affect everyone,” she said.

Wouldn't it be the better thing to follow Putin and just criminalize the opposition. You don't have to kill them, unless . . .

“Buy ammo. Form cells. Get ready.”

Sounding more and more like that is becoming necessary.

Been saying this for months. We will travel to Washington for this. And I hope to see the biggest anti-gov't demonstration in history.

Do not try to take away our only way of finding what you are up to, you despicable Washington lowlifes! This you do at your peril.

Everyone should read Alinsky's Rules for Radicals and be ready to apply its precepts to any Fairness Doctrine enforcement mechanism that may be passed. We need to swamp it with complaints real and imagined against our enemies at NPR, PBS, NBC, CBS, and all the rest. We can make it non-functional if we are aggressive and obstreperous enough.

If that doesn't work, we'll prepare to use more vigorous means of the kind that Thomas Jefferson would approve. There is no crime and much honor in treating traitors and tyrants as our ancestors would have.

Conservative talk show hosts fear the doctrine will result in their programs being canceled because stations don't want to offer large amounts of air time to opponents whose response programs probably wouldn't get good ratings.

Not quite. Big names would remain successful, they'd still have enough health to pull through despite the leeches. Marginal talkers might face extinction as the number of stations starts to dwindle, especially in smaller markets. We'd also see fewer independent talk stations as forming "superstations" would be one of the few ways to survive. A few would try placing bland, viewpoint-free programming on their schedule, and everyone would be hearing more commercials on their airwaves.

And besides all that, censorship is censorship - and we have a thing called the first amendment that supposedly is there to protect us from it.

**And Williams, Gibson, and Couric must vacate their desks for half of their broadcasts so conservative anchors can sit in and re-read the news with a conservative spin?**

I’ve said ... AS A JOKE ... the networks should do that, because the ones talking the MOST about the ORWELL Doctrine... are just referring to TALK RADIO.. mainly OF COURSE... Rush, Sean, and Great One

Do our representatives actually vote on bills that we approve or do they make these things up as they go along? Who makes this stuff up? I don’t recall ever voting on anything like this??? Seriously, what other bills do these guys make up to benefit themselves. Shouldn’t we all vote on a bill that we feel is necessary and then they can discuss it amongst themselves. Otherwise, they should not be conversing on such nonsense! Freedom of Speech is being crippled!

You’ll have to excuse my ignorance, I’ve only been political for about 3 months now so this is so overwhelming!

No, this is great! If the bill extends to satellite and cable, then the liberal media will never let it pass. They’ss fight it tooth and nail.
