I like the idea of trying to start a dialogue, Simonson added. I dont want to be the person who says, No, we dont want you here because youre making this, but to make them understand that perhaps people of Woodstock dont want to be shipping these things to the rest of the world so we can destroy their environment while we sit in a nice little tidy place and protect our own.
We believe that the people of Woodstock can and should work together with local business people and the town government to create a local economy that is sustainable and ethical.
Note how this is condescendingly stated as if business people are some strange subculture. I suppose if you are a liberal parasite you have trouble understanding the productive. I worked for a school system for two years, and got this kind of treatment all the time. I was the subhuman who had to lower himself to dirtying his hands at labor.

From the Woodstock News story about Bumper Stickers;
Through our rambling conversation, I learned that McMahon’s formative influences included the Sixties classic “I Brake for Hallucinations,” but that his taste now ran towards minimalism. “’CAR’ is one of my favorites,” he said. “It’s so hilarious to see a bumper sticker that says ‘CAR.’” While listening, I leafed through his thick portfolio. Not only had he extended the “Welcome” series (”Welcome to Saugerties...The Original Woodstock”), but he’d coined many other wonderful one-liners: “Honk If You Love Honking,” “Inner Child In Trunk,” “Save the World, Win Valuable Prizes,” and “How Dare You Assume I’m a Homosapien?” His most popular one I already knew from sightings around town: “I Brake for Turtles, Frogs, Snakes, and Big Leaves.”

I fault the company for renaming the facility to include “Military and Aerospace” in the title.
When the place was owned by EG&G , they didn’t call it “components for the nuclear industry”
They should have called it Rotron, “We have fans everywhere”.

The town board of Woodstock should be aware of two things, one is that peace has no other source than a strong military. The second is that every state governor with half of a brain and a rocky economy will be making a call on Ametek Rotron Inc. in the next week.(Are you listening, Governor Grandholm?)

"We believe that the people of Woodstock can and should work together with local business people and the town government to create a local economy that is sustainable and ethical. Therefore everyone in Woodstock must immediately stop using all devices created for the military. No more GPS trackers, no more internet. In the interests of peace and sustainability.

Rotron can move to Pocatello. The business and the jobs will be appreciated. The city has good rail and freeway connectivity and a great municipal airport. Woodstock will be happier and the manufacturing oriented locals will be thrilled to welcome a new company.

For a town that prides itself on trying to create a zoning law that protects the environment,There's no environment to protect when your citizens are unemployed and foreign powers come in and nuke everything to glass. Morons.
