Hmmm, they’re muslim, young men and a number of them went to the same Islamic center after school.

Any thoughtful person who knows history and religion would be anti-Islam. Along with Communism, Naziism, and the Black Death, Islam has been responsible for more death and destruction on the face of the planet than just about anything else since the last asteroid impact. Islam was started by predators. It has spread by predation. It has lived off the decaying corpses of the civilizations it has destroyed. It is a vast, ancient sea of corruption, oppression, fanaticism, and ignorance lapping up against the shores of the present, kept alive by the fortuitous accident of living above huge reserves of petroleum.

While a lot of people are making light of this, it does not seem like these Somali parents are radicals sending their kids off to blow themselves up. On the contrary, this mother seems appalled at the prospect and I feel a deep sympathy for her plight.
Perhaps there is an element at this mosque recruiting Islamo fascists or it could be possible that these kids are being kidnapped.
Maybe he needed a timeout for Jihad......

Weasel words. They're not recruiting for a political cause, they're recruiting for a RELIGIOUS cause. Islam teaches that all other religions are subservient, and that infidels can be killed without spiritual consequence.
I'm guessing that some of the other young men who have disappeared also came from homes with absent fathers, and were ripe for this type of indoctrination.
A good question to ask would be WHO is getting these kids updated passports, and facilitating their travel, especially if they are minors?
