Another terrorist attack could hit the United States in the next five years and North Texas could be a key target next time.
By 2013, the U.S. more likely than not could be hit by another deadly attack, this time using something possibly like anthrax, according to the new report, World at Risk.
And some fear that North Texas, with its population, sports and entertainment venues and businesses not to mention the fact that President George W. Bush is moving back here after he leaves office in January could be a target next time.
Everybody should be concerned, said Danny Defenbaugh, a former special agent in charge for the FBI in North Texas. In Dallas-Fort Worth, this is the Metroplex. That should be reason for concern.

Oh my, NOT Neimans!!
Even though I live a little too close for comfort (90 miles) and have many dear friends/relatives even closer, I can’t imagine feeling even a moment of grief for SF. The surrounding people, yes, SF, no. We need a big old housecleaning up there.
DFW and LOVEFIELD both in Dallas-FW area. I am going to Cotton Bowl January 2, and the terrorist will not keep me from it.
Go TEXAS TECH, Beat Ole Miss.
East TX, the beautiful piney woods....
What has happened to San Francisco makes me sick.... this is a city I used to love, how the kooks took it over is still a conundrum to me, I remember driving through there and seeing the freaks, but at the time people just laughed and thought they were harmless, who would have thought they would become the norm... and THAT is a warning to the entire country, especially with the election of Obama.

Guns Up!

We are a big state and we love our state and our people. Don’t mess with us Texans. Gun sells are through the roof in Texas since Obama has been elected. We take care of our own!
Heh. And it's not exactly in NORTH Texas, is it?
And will the terrorists have entered across our very porous, carelessly protected southern border?
GUN’S UP indeed!
You would do better to hit Atlanta Jackson or Chicago O’Hare airports.
True.
But if you wanted to hit N. Texas, there is no shortage of Good Targets.
As your reply pointed out, our entire country is a “Target Rich Environment”.
But if you wanted to hit N. Texas, you could hit DFW, A cowboys, rangers, or mavericks game, a packed DART Train, any one of the packed shopping centers in the Area. And countless others.
Pantex - good guess. No doubt surveilled, perhaps even penetrated by foreigners trained at US universities
Yeah, but we have less opportunities than elsewhere, and the population density isn’t really there for the secondary effects.
I’m always on the lookout for terrorism experts. Never trust anybody that makes money on fear.
