Source: Feds take [Illinois] Gov. Blagojevich into custody

A source said today that Gov. Rod Blagojevich was taken into federal custody at his North Side home this morning. The U.S. attorney's office would not confirm the information, and a spokesman for the governor did not immediately return a phone call for comment.

That same thought crossed my mind when I heard Fitzgerald's remark. Quinn sure sounded shaken during the interview. And since the warrant for arrest was served on Blago around 6 a.m. that wouldn't have been too long before the interview. Maybe a couple hours? And how soon after the search warrant was served was Quinn on the line?

I've not seen Quinn involved before (at least noticeably involved). This is news to me, but hey, he's a Dem politician. I wonder just what they have on him from the wiretaps?
