A source said today that Gov. Rod Blagojevich was taken into federal custody at his North Side home this morning. The U.S. attorney's office would not confirm the information, and a spokesman for the governor did not immediately return a phone call for comment.

I agree..but with this stuff coming out drip by drip over the next few years in court, I predict Obama will be a one term President and may even face impeachment before then. Rahm Emmanuel will be implicated in this corruption and the democrats in general will be hurt by it all in 2010. We have to paint the connections before Obama can pardon all his fellow rats.

You guys, I don't even know what to say about that Quinn guy. He's amazing.. was just reading up on him. Blago was bad, Quinn's bad.

He may be. I've not seen enough to make the judgment. I do know he's not the smartest poop in the pile, though.

We don't know where this is going, and likely won't know for some time. But it's not over, this is just the next step beyond Rezko.

“I am convinced that the governor has a very thoughtful process that he has put in place and is wrestling and weighing a number of issues in this enormous decision that he has to make,” Jackson said. “Today, I leave confident that the governor has put in place processes and that his interview process for this position is thoughtful.”

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.

There are many on here who think his arrest will lead to plea-bargaining that might release incriminating evidence prior to the inauguration of the new regime; what if this is a preemptive means to silence the critics and finish the job started back when the machine charted its course down this 12-year road?

I think that’s why he needs to be impeached, tout de suite.

“there are other aspects to Obama’s Chicago roots that have yet to be played out in the media”

Which will be a death-blow to them. They were negligent enough to get Opossum elected. They continue to refuse their mandate to vet politicians. When this explodes (I hope), the MSM will be indicted along with the politicians.

I can only hope they will lose all “face” by trying to cling to their own false-sense of credibility.

Quinn was around for more than the meet-and-greet at the airport.

Someone should ask Quinn if he's retained the services of a criminal attorney. I think the answer would tell us a lot.

I say, yep!

Can't argue with that. He's weighted the option of appointing himself to the senate seat, he may even still go that far...

“Rahm Emmanuel will be implicated”

Excellent insight; I agree.

Could be. All I'm saying is I personally haven't heard his name bandied about in all this. Time will tell...

It reminded me of the weird rules that I’ve heard the British royal family have. It doesn’t surprise me at all (or probably anyone) that the Jackson family thinks they are royalty.

This is one of the happiest days of my life! Too bad our acting president-elect (notice small "p") didn't act fast enough to stop the FBI's investigation.

Chicago politicians have become a bunch of morons. In the old days, they would never have been caught.

I’d be surprised if that (impeachment) happens quickly. The legislature would have to be called into emergency session by Quinn.

Blago isn’t well liked within the state party but he is a Dem. They will circle the wagons to slow things down.

Any indication who Blago’s lawyer is, yet? That will be interesting if his counsel is linked (even perceptively) to the Opossum camp.

“My disappointment is restricted solely to this lack of Obama offering anything to Blago for the Senate seat.”

A lack of a tapped phone conversation does not mean that Obama did not send a go between to talk with him at some point. Obama and the media are hiding a whole lot from the American people. Obama has been playing the game for a long time.

Blago has been playing with Rezko for a long time and much of the money used by both to buy votes and influence came from SENATOR OBAMA IN THE FIRST PLACE.....GOING ALL THE WAY BACK TO HIS STATE SENATE DAYS! Keep the faith!
