I’d be surprised if that (impeachment) happens quickly. The legislature would have to be called into emergency session by Quinn.
Blago isn’t well liked within the state party but he is a Dem. They will circle the wagons to slow things down.
Any indication who Blago’s lawyer is, yet? That will be interesting if his counsel is linked (even perceptively) to the Opossum camp.
Did you notice that Blago, in an interview yesterday (!) linked Wyma to Rahm Emanuel? This will not sit well with His Majesty, Emperor Zero.
Not so sure about that. Blago has been a thorn in the side of Democrats and Republicans alike. It was a Democrat (can't recall the name) who was seeking impeachment before all this.
They may try to circle the wagons, but Blago is so disliked around the state, I doubt it will last long.
You know what, I might disagree. It depends. What SHOULD they do? sell him out of town and try to move quickly past this scandal. But they are, apparently, not the brightest bunch of dems ever to infest a state government. So I guess we'll have to see.
My 'guess' as to Blago's pick for criminal attorney is Dan Webb.
