Source: Feds take [Illinois] Gov. Blagojevich into custody

A source said today that Gov. Rod Blagojevich was taken into federal custody at his North Side home this morning. The U.S. attorney's office would not confirm the information, and a spokesman for the governor did not immediately return a phone call for comment.

Is Blago-Drago still able to carry out this duty while under Federal indictment?

This is being discussed on WLS now with the state house minority leader. Pat Quinn is Lt. governor. He'd be the replacement. But an indictment does not mean automatic removal. That would be a political decision, but one I can't see them preventing.

Then you start thinking about 20,000 troops recently being deployed to Northern Command to “quell riots and civil disorder”, and one might ask - WTF is going on? I'm not aware of this - more info please?

Now live in FL but formerly from Sangamon County. You know, Springfield, that capitol where Blago refused to live? Grew up in Macoupin County where if the Dems ran the donkey those fools would vote for it. This has been too long in coming. He never should have been elected to his first term. For those who don’t know Blago’s favorite description of anything the Republican did that he didn’t like was that it was “illegal”. Funny thing was, everything he did to “fix the illegality” was always ruled the same way by any reviewing court.

And, he ran on a platform of change too. No specifics but just change from that evil Republican George Ryan. Sound familiar?

Only GOP corruption gets in the headline/article. If it is a RAT the DBM know they are not to mention party affiliation - EVER. He is one of their own.
