Supreme Court to Uphold or Ignore the Constitution?
Capitol Hill ^ | Dec. 7, 2008 | JB Williams

Posted on 12/07/2008 11:14:58 AM PST by PlainOleAmerican

As of this writing, December 6th, the Supreme Court has not yet announced whether or not it will take up the Donofrio case, or any other case concerning Obama’s constitutional eligibility for the office of President.

Yet there is no more important issue before the court today and the clock is ticking.

(snip)

The Supreme Court of the United States of America has but one primary obligation to the American people, and that obligation is to use the power afforded it under Article III—Section I of the Constitution, to uphold, protect and preserve the U.S. Constitution, the Charters of Freedom, and provide equal justice for all, without regard to personal political leanings or ambitions…

This is a common word used in the US to describe the party out of power-sorry. As for being stuck on stupid, I think it’s stupid to continue waging an election which is over. We need to work on pulling our economy back from the abyss...Democrats and Republicans must work together whenever possible to achieve this. I love America more than I hate Democrats.

I have my parents letters. At one time dad was not able to tell mom where he was located. He happened to see a National Geographic article about his location and since his aunt had given them a subscription for Christmas he mentioned the “Christmas present” and issue.

“Loose lips sink ships!” was another common statement that FR picked up when the conflict started.

The censorship explanation would explain why nothing but positive is coming out of the Fox network. They seem to be very careful about what they cover. Even the fact that Colms is leaving is suspicious.....Is he embarrassed in advanced and doesn't want to have to support the impostor?

You know, you should change your. No real American wants to see cities burned to the ground...not even blue cities.

“Anyway, the case at the Supreme Court which in my opinion they will ignore is about Obama’s mother status.”

Did you even read the case filed? It is, also, about McCain and Calero, who is not a citizen, running for the highest office in our land and from your previous posts, you just think they should IGNORE A CITIZEN OF NICARAGUA RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE USA.

I worked for McCain too, but he lost. This birth certificate nonsense especially the stuff about his mother’s status is a non-starter.

I’ve been here for years. My wife has a page...nyconse if you are interested in us. We moved from Georgia last year to Wisconsin -job transfer. We moved from Wisconsin to Ohio this year-job transfer. We have four kids-three at home- a dog, a cat (I wish people would bring back the kitty pictures, my wife loves them). We also have a gerbil. We used to have two, but the cat ate one. Does this help? My wife sometime posts under my name because she forgot her password so if you see some girly posts-you know why.

We were completely shocked at the economic situation in the Mid West. My kids will have no busing next year, no electives in High School including language. People are unemployed, and they do go hungry. I do what I can. After I arrived here, I wondered not why the GOP lost in November, but how Bush managed to carry Ohio twice.

Among the natural rights of the colonists are these: First a right to life, secondly to liberty, and thirdly to property; together with the right to defend them in the best manner they can.
Samuel Adams

He who is void of virtuous attachments in private life is, or very soon will be, void of all regard for his country. There is seldom an instance of a man guilty of betraying his country, who had not before lost the feeling of moral obligations in his private connections.
Samuel Adams

How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words!
Samuel Adams

It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds.
Samuel Adams

It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.
Samuel Adams

Mankind are governed more by their feelings than by reason.
Samuel Adams

Our contest is not only whether we ourselves shall be free, but whether there shall be left to mankind an asylum on earth for civil and religious liberty.
Samuel Adams

The Constitution shall never be construed... to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.
Samuel Adams

The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution, are worth defending against all hazards: And it is our duty to defend them against all attacks.
Samuel Adams

The natural liberty of man is to be free from any superior power on Earth, and not to be under the will or legislative authority of man, but only to have the law of nature for his rule.
Samuel Adams

We cannot make events. Our business is wisely to improve them.

Look, I just don’t see this as going anywhere. Anyone can sue for any reason. I would not be surprised if the Supreme Court is looking at this situation in order to put an end to it really.

His mother’s status IS important because she was not old enough under the law at that time to transfer her citizenship to an offspring, leaving BO only with the citizenship of his father.
You are probably too young to remember (as am I ;~)) that in some states, property, inheritance, citizenship were ALL gender issues.Citizenship was determined paternally for a LOOOOOOOng time. It wasn’t really that long ago that women got “equal rights” guaranteed. TODAY YOUNG PEOPLE TAKE IT FOR GRANTED that women always have been treated equally.

For those of you who continue to be confused about Leo Donofrio's stay application to the Supreme Court; here it is. (just click download)

You might try reading it before you make assumptions.
