A conservative pro-family leader believes the Obama administration will move sooner rather than later to attempt to repeal the law that forbids homosexuals from serving in the military.
In recent weeks there have been conflicting reports about a timetable for the new, more heavily Democratic-controlled Congress to try to repeal the 1993 law that bans homosexuals from the military. The Washington Times reported that president-elect Barack Obama will not move for months, perhaps not until 2010, to ask Congress to repeal the ban. The paper quoted two sources who advised the Obama transition team about the potentially explosive issue.
But Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, gives credence to a story published in CNN that the policy could be overturned this year.
"I was told by a reporter, [from] a very respected media institution, that the number-three priority on the list of the liberal activists who are very excited about Mr. Obama taking over the White House...is indeed [the] repeal of the law regarding gays in the military," she explains.
Obama, according to Donnelly, is committed to social engineering in the armed forces. "The president-elect Mr. Obama has made it very clear that he would support legislative efforts to repeal the law," she contends. "He wants to open the armed forces to social engineering on an unprecedented scale, making it a civil rights issue to say that there should be homosexuals in military 24/7."
Donnelly says it is important for supporters of the military to contact their members of Congress and urge them not to repeal the ban.
> I thought it was only 26 monkeys...??
No, there were 27 — remember? There were twenty-six plus one covered in whipping cream up on the chandelier that we couldn’t get down?
> In the military, the focus should be on the taSk at hand,
Yup
> not dealing with someone elses insecurities about their normalcy.
It occurs to me that most homosexualists I’ve ever met are very secure personalities: they know they’re gay and they don’t mind. The people who tend to be insecure are the straight folks.
Aw, damn...that was a monkey?
Criminey.
Why wouldn’t a Gay Guy NOT Repeal a Law that Prevents Homosexuals from being in the Military? Zero hides things well, but ZERO’S Agenda keeps popping up when ZERO is around the Guys, so to speak! Pardon the PUN!
Everyone already knows who the gays they serve with are. Nobody's murdering them.
My guess is you’re right but not quite that soon. The generals, the soldiers and the American people are against the homos and the zero will go on record just to appease the militant gays, the left, etc., tell them: “look we failed, the country isn’t as smart as you and I are, yet” or some such nonsense and that’ll end it. For now.
Not all gays are prancing, effeminate girly-men. Many gays are butch lesbians. There are a lot of butch lesbians in the military. They are the ones most affected by "Don't Ask Don't Tell" laws.
I'm gobsmacked.
Not one mention of a weedeater, bulk delivery of wesson oil or jumper cables and you lay claim to a sex life ? You need to step up Laz......
Gays I’ve talked to are often self-admittedly depraved, moving from one mate to the next, and very much insecure on many fronts.
Also, oddly one plays the male dominant role in both cases, male and female. Dominant to the point of cruelty quite often I’ve been told.
Too much information and I felt kinda creeped out about it.

There are plenty of heterosexualists like that, too. Except our culture tends to celebrate heterosexual promiscuity. Remember “The Fonz”?
The homosexualists that I know tend to be monogamous, because they need to be extra-careful about AIDS and other STDs, as they tend to be at greater risk. And they actually prefer to sleep with their own.
> Also, oddly one plays the male dominant role in both cases, male and female. Dominant to the point of cruelty quite often Ive been told.
Who knows? I doubt that this is an aspect of gay life in the Armed Forces that would get the opportunity of much exploration in, say, a nuclear submarine or in a Marine barracks or in an army fox-hole. How much boinking could realistically happen in these mixed homosexual/heterosexual environments???
Bugger-all. Seriously: warning shots would happen first, followed by deadly-fire.
NEWSFLASH: Few if any homosexualists actually want to jump your bones. They actually prefer their own kind.
> If this happens, I will guarantee you that Navy members will vote with their feet, and accept a discharge as soon as they can.
“The only traditions of the Royal Navy are rum, sodomy and the lash.” attr. Sir Winston LS Churchill
What makes you think the US Navy is any better than the Royal Navy at its prime?
What they’re looking for is acceptance of their abnormality as being normal.
> There goes out military; how many lifetime officers (and PVCs do you think will retire or opt to not re-enlist) when this goes into effect?
About... none? How many lifetime officers would be willing to sacrifice their pensions and try their luck making a living on Civvy Street on this issue?
Yup, about none.
> What theyre looking for is acceptance of their abnormality as being normal.
What they will get is acceptance of their abnormality as being legal. But we knew that anyway: most countries and states have long ago repealed buggery laws.
You are probably not going to see military discipline erode by having submarines full of sailors fagging each other while on duty — or even off-duty. Social pressures, as well as Regulations, will prevent that.
You were warned in the past not to cause the moderators to split a gut.
The consequences will be dire.
I would like to point out that "the military" has nothing to do with the ban on gays. CONGRESS has a ban on gays in the military.
Above and beyond everything else, there’s the health reason.
The homosexual “lifestyle” places the individual at risk for much more than AIDS.
IIRC, homosexual males die about 20 years earlier then heterosexual men.
What the hell was that? Never mind, I don’t want to know!
“What makes you think the US Navy is any better than the Royal Navy at its prime?”
20 years of Active Duty, that’s what.
By the way, how many night traps do you have??
