710 KURV believes that these decorated agents have been punished enough for the shooting of an admitted and now convicted drug smuggling illegal alien.
President George W. Bush has already granted pardons to 14 individuals and commuted the sentences of two more.
710 KURV is asking you for your involvement in our effort and join forces with national leaders such as Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA). Ramos and Compean have been living in the torture of solitary confinement for almost two years for something they never should have been prosecuted for in the first place, said Rohrabacher.
There are a couple of ways to participate.

Yay! Rohrabacher is my congressdude. Let’s get those good men freed! Remind the president that his name is George and not Jorge. He should have pardoned them before they spent even one night behind bars.
Lets get Ramos and Compean home for Christmas!
FREEP THIS PETITION ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
I agree they should be pardoned. The rest of your statement not only does no service to our common cause but hurts it.
Good luck. You have my support and will get my signature.
Jorge El Segundo like his Daddy and big Brother are NOT Conservatives. Thyey are HARDLY Repubulicans either. They are ONE-WORLDERS.
JOrge sold out to Mexico City a LONG TIME AGO and Mexico wants an example made of foreigners who abuse “their” citizens - unlike the cipher in the White House.
Jorge will NEVER pardon them.
You should send the petition to Calderone. MOre likely to get a response THERE!!
Screw the commutation!
These men deserve nothing less than a full pardon. Period!
That may very well be the case, but it sure seems like he’s been more concerned about the citizens of Mexico than about protecting us from them.
I appreciate many of the good things he’s done for our country and I proudly voted for him twice, but immigration issues have been a dismal failure during his tenure.
But I respect your right to disagree with me.
ALSO, Please contact President Bush. I know many think it wont help, but there is strength in numbers.

i don’t understand why this issue doesn’t get to the president, and if it has, why he hasn’t acted.
george w bush appointed his friend antonio o garza jr as ambassador to mexico.
he is married to one of mexico’s billionaires—maría asunción aramburuzabala (she’s of basque descent).

You want to pardon their destruction of evidence, obstruction of justice and attempted cover up?
Ya, these are qualities we look for in law enforcement officers.
Commutation yes, pardon no.
Why is that?
Texas 2 Ping!
If you want on, or off this S. Texas/Mexico ping list, please FReepMail me.
Absolutely esp. seeing as how he is likely going to pardon our corrupt former Illinois governor Lyin Ryan :(
PING!
RAMOS/COMPEAN Ping
Please freepmail me if you want on or off this list.
No need for a pardon for that--the appeals court already vacated all of those bogus convictions.
The so-called "crime of violence" and violating the smuggler's "civil rights" should definitely be pardoned, however.
Yes it is! I've seen the same 3 or 4 anti R & C posters saying the same, tired, incorrect, things about the case.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals today affirmed the major counts against former Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, reversing only a minor obstruction of justice count.
The minor "obstruction" count was reversed on a technicality.
Once a liar, always a liar.
Another false attack from BobJ. What a surprise.
Know the facts before you shoot off your mouth slandering other people.
From the appeal:
http://www.ca5.uscourts.gov/opinions/pub/06/06-51489-CR0.wpd.pdf(snip)
The defendants were convicted for assault, discharge of a weapon in the commission of a crime of violence, tampering with an official proceeding, and deprivation of civil rights. We AFFIRM all convictions except those for tampering with an official proceeding, which we VACATE. We REMAND for resentencing.
