Senior Clay Edwards photo wont be in this years Bracken County High School yearbook. Hell be listed as not pictured.
For Edwards it wasnt missing picture day or a case of the flu that kept him out of his last yearbook and the class of 2009 composite it was a dog collar and makeup......

Gee, Mom! Why'd you ditch the pearl choker for the dog collar?
Oh man, you should see mine. My kids laugh hyserically when they see it. Some folks don’t change much, but it’s like I am a different person than that picture as I was a late bloomer. 5’ 7”, 135 lbs when I graduated and 6’ 1”, 175 lbs. at the end of my freshman year of college.
That's the Reply of the Day, right there. :)
So Travis, that begs the question, where you one of the wild kids or one of the 'good, clean' kids?
One of your boys, my dear?
LOL!!! NOT!
for the difference, she a recent South Park episode where the “goth” kids freaked because people were mistaking them for the new “vampire” group that emerged.
He’ll thank them later.
He won’t be the first nor will he be the last to not get his picture in the yearbook. So he just needs to suck it up.
I always tell my boys that they can dress any way they want, have tattoos, earrings, whatever. It’s fine with me.
They won’t live in my house, but it’s fine with me.
:-)
I’d be careful telling this kid to suck up anything . . . . .
“My best friend from age of 12 was very very punk (80s). Ironically, as much as people gawked at her and her multicolored mohawk, I realized that she was really hiding. As long as they were looking at the clothes, the hair, the makeup... they werent looking at her.
She grew up to be a really nice homeschooling mom if you can believe it.”
I had a friend like that as well. Her name was Jamie. She was into the B-52s when they were considered ODD. She wore ‘cosmic’ jewelry and had extra ear piercings (gasp). However, she was sweet as could be and smart as a whip. We thought of her as ‘wild’ and ‘edgy.’ Pfffft. Looking back and comparing to the kids now,,,she was tame. Milktoast and sugar cookies baby. She turned out great. Hair/makeup really doesn’t matter at that age, IMHO. The more fuss made over it,,,the more the thrill the kids get out of looking that way.
A glutton for punishment, are you?

My one son lived in NY in later years. Before one of his visits, he shaved his goatee...knowing mom would not be impressed. I thought it was nice that he even considered it.
What he doesn't remember is that one of my boyfriends (after divorce) had a very nice goatee.
When I had my picture taken back in the late 70’s for my yearbook, everyone dressed up.
I wore a loud long-collared polyester shirt with my double-knit leisure suit and platforms. I also proudly had my hair cut in the latest long shag in mine.
I thought I was the bomb back then. Now frankly I’m embarrassed to see that pic anymore.
The 70’s...God, what a tacky era...........
broke the camera...
