I didn’t see that statement. She might have said that. In the piece that I read, Fukino did all that talking.

This certainly is a highly politically charged issue...
moreso than Gore v Bush 2000, simply because of the relatively high melanin content of the president elect.

“So they’ll very carefully leave a wide berth for Bambi to slither through while somehow addressing the issue for all time.” Yours may be the most accurate portrayal of what will happen of all the speculations! The trick now is to guess which case coming up through the circuits will give them the best venue through which to do that. I would sadly guess that we will have an ambiguous president for the next four years. And that is also frightening since such a malignant narcissist—and that, narcissist, is the clinical diagnosis I would apply to the affirmative action fraud—would be very dangerous holding such power and would be likely to do things out of spite rather than in the nation's best interest.

Your both missing the point that the Court can also order a BC to be opened.....Uhhh I think the SCOTUS would have the power to do that.

Should we discover in twenty, thirty years, perhaps even after his death, that 0bama never did meet the Constitutional requirements to be elected to the office of president, that in fact, it was ignored, it sets the precedent for any future citizen to ignore any portion in the future, citing this as his validation for it.
***Maybe Obama will be the Second Foreign-Born President in History

This conversation grew out of WND’s mistaken statement that Gov Lingle sealed Obie’s BC.

“By “help mitigate”, perhaps you mean volunteering to stand with a squad of fellow citizen militia on every streetcorner in every city to discourage any rioting?”

Well, I would start with hitting the blogs and trying to diffuse the heat before it gets to the boiling point. You know, some critics have a point when they fault “W” on some constitutional issues. However, I am one who believes in the authority of the Supreme Court and that is where I would come from if anyone wanted to have the confrontation. First, let’s see if we can get it done on a personal blog level. It may be that the O-bots have it organized already. However, peaceful means are preferred but then, we have all been gearing up for a confrontation for awhile. If it comes to that, so be it.

Quotes By Thomas Jefferson

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.
Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.
Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson

Very Interesting Quote In light of the present financial crisis, it’s interesting to read what Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers
conquered.”

The odds of what I think will happen and the odds of what I’ll give you in a bet are two different things. I would place the odds of the Supreme Court taking this case somewhere on the order of 100,000,000:1. Obviously I can’t give you those kind of odds on a bet; I could never pay.

But you think I’m wrong about the odds, so I offered a fair number that I hoped would entice you to bet while ensuring that, no matter what dollar figure you choose, I’ll still be able to pay if I’m wrong. Seems fair to me.

I’ve also pointed you to an escrow site where if you doubt my word to send you a check, we can arrange for both of us to hold our money in escrow until Monday.

But this isn’t good enough for you. That’s fine. I get that you don’t want to bet—I wouldn’t take my bet, either. It’s a losing bet.

Ok, really—back to work.

“So they’ll very carefully leave a wide berth for Bambi to slither through while somehow addressing the issue for all time. At least that’s my prediction.”

#####

Mine too and it has been from the start. The appropriate legalese is probably being prepared at this moment.

If indeed Obama is unfit under the Constitution then he should, of course, be denied it. But I doubt that will happen. The (very) small consolation is that the Supremes will have an opportunity to educate the idiots in the American populace about the fundamental primacy of the Constitution, even as they dance around it.

Man, that IS a small consolation.

"simply because of the relatively high melanin content of the president elect."

If it has come to that, we're FINISHED as a Constitutional Republic. God help us all.

I wonder how prepared THEY ARE for the possibility of Buraq being disqualified, as in, have they organized their “protests” just in case,

or are they so confident that this will blow over that they aren’t even considering it...

“Your both missing the point that the Court can also order a BC to be opened.....Uhhh I think the SCOTUS would have the power to do that.”

The SCOTUS does not need to order Obama’s birth certificate to be opened to make a decision. Going on what Obama has professed himself, he was born in Hawaii. Great! That means he is a US citizen. But Obama also has professed that his father was from Kenya. Great. Means his daddy was not a US citizen. Obama has also professed that he was a British subject at birth since his father was from Kenya. The birth certificate under seal can stay there. Obama is not a “natural born” citizen because his father was not a US citizen.

Seriously, why IS this more of an eggshell issue than any other contention for the presidency?

Skin color. Nothing else.

One question I haven’t seen asked is where has the “dear leader” been for the last couple of weeks? For that matter, where is Joe Biden . . . Rahm Emanuel . . . David Axelrod . . . or any other Obama insider. Besides a few short press conferences to introduce cabinet nominations, we have not seen BHO in public for over 2 weeks.

With all the talk about them “ruling” from election day, they have been eerily absent. I wonder, is there a reason they are all avoiding the press? Is there a mutiny inside the team? Enquiring minds want to know . . .
