A president named Obama changes the name game (BARF Alert)

NEW YORK – Zenas Ackah has heard it all his life: What kind of name is that? You must not be from here. You must be foreign. Actually, no. Born in the United States, the 22-year-old college senior with the Greek first name and the Ghanian last name grew up in Philadelphia.

But Ackah is hopeful that change is coming, that the idea of an "American" name will expand beyond monikers like Tom and Harry and Sally and Jane and Smith and Jones. He figures he's got a strong weapon on his side — for at least the next four years, when people look to the most powerful American in the country, the "uber-American" if you will, they'll be looking at President Barack Hussein Obama.

"I think it will help people understand that people in America aren't just John, Jack, Mary," Ackah said. "They're Zenas and Barack."

Obama's name gave him his share of trouble during the campaign. He acknowledged its unfamiliarity to most Americans, and there were times when supporters of his opponent made a point of using his middle name, which was seen as an attempt to cast doubt on his background and faith.

But the next four years will ensure that his name is no longer unfamiliar.

People have already named their infants after him.

The more people hear it, the more mainstream it becomes, said Don Nilsen, a professor of English linguistics at Arizona State University and co-president of the American Name Society.

"Who is more American than the president of the United States?" he said. "There's no question it will have a ripple effect, because of the power of the position."

"Who is more American than the president of the United States?"

With 17 lawsuits in 12 states challenging him where he's hired 3 law firms, IT AIN'T OBAMA!

I see a very Balkanized America getting even worse in the coming years.

This article merely solidifies my theory.

No, he won't. He's not going to be inaugurated because Clarence Thomas is going to save us from the suicidal stupidity of letting this communist usurper sit in the President's chair. And if by some hell-spawned miracle he does manage to get inaugurated, he'll be impeached immediately via dozens of counts of vote fraud, credit card fraud, RICO, and misrepresentation of identity.

Millard Fillmore, the last member of the Whig Party to hold the office of the Presidency and the last person named Millard to ever hold that office.

Because the American people not only do not have any relatives, none who were named for other relatives from "the old country", but none of them has ever enjoyed an NCAA football or basketball game or an NFL contest. Please, enough of this already.

“James Monroe?”

Yeah James Monroe, you know, the two term 5th President of the United States, and the man that Monrovia, the capital of Liberia in Africa is named after. The President that the “Monroe Doctrine” is named after?
THAT James Monroe whose last name ends in a vowel.

"I think it will help people understand that people in America aren't just John, Jack, Mary," Ackah said. "They're Zenas and Barack."

Thanks to the Hollywood billionaire crowd, they played a big part.

The most successful Hollywood production ever, the billion-dollar Mr. Obama Gloats To Washington, was darn near perfect based upon its impact upon the public and media.

There's just one flaw that I detected, those birth certificate scenes. How could the writers have believed that ordinary Americans would say, "Oh well, we have to show our birth certificates all the time but it's OK for important people to say F-you."

And the remark by one of the characters representing Mr. Obama, "The Constitution is what we say it is." Was that intended to be scary?

It's a strong hint that there will be sequels to this movie.

And when Justice Thomas, Chief Justice Roberts, Justice Scalia and Justice Alito all decide that the petitioners do not have a case against Obama, will it be because the are wise men or because they are in the bag for Obama?

“He’s not going to be inaugurated because Clarence Thomas is going to save us from the suicidal stupidity of letting this communist usurper sit in the President’s chair.”

Tony, first let me say I absolutely hope you are correct.

But it is entirely possible J. Thomas may point out the Constitution already provides a remedy for this exact situation. That remedy is in the form of the Objection language in the 20th amendment and is directly applicable.

So, I propose we hedge our bets (never bet on a lawsuit?). All Americans should raise a clamor and demand that Republican politicians go on the offense and prepare now to Object on Jan 8 by demonstrating O is not natural born (if they ever want to see our money and votes again). And, they have access to the government records to do exactly that.

STAND UP AMERICA! The presidential election is not over!
We voted for electors, not the individual candidates. The electors vote on or after December 15, 2009. The results are then presented to a joint session of Congress and objections may be heard on January 8, 2009 pursuant to the 20th amendment and Public Law 110-430. See the letter on my About page hand-delivered to the local offices of my Republican Senators and Representatives. I urge you to take similar action, even if it is simply faxing a one page letter to Washington, D.C.
