This is really incredible.

H-S Precision is sells hunting and tactical rifles. Here is a scan from the back cover of their Catalog. Note who did the write-up (circled in yellow):

For the three of you who don't know who Lon Horiuchi is, he's the FBI sniper of Ruby Ridge infamy who murdered Vicki Weaver in cold blood while she was holding her baby.

I'm not sure what H-S was thinking when they decided to hire this despicable thug as a spokesperson, but they are in dire need of remedial correction for this deplorable business decision. No gun decent gun owner/buyer should give them a single dime of their business. For those wishing to contact them, here's the info:

I think I knew that monster when I was at Camp Howze, Korea in ‘80-’81. If it’s the same guy, I not only believe he’d intentionally shoot a woman holding a baby, I believe he’d LIKE it.

Do you have a picture from your company yearbook? Or even better a personal photograph? Someone out there has pictures of this guy.

If I can not erase my pictures from public archives why should he have the priviledge?

HSP finally responds. This is about the most pathetic excuse for an apology I think I've ever seen. It's not "we're sorry we ****ed up", it's "we're sorry that you were offended by our **** up".

I just fired off a e mail to em stating that product testimonials were not the problem. I valued the words of honorable respectable shooters. Whoreuchi needs to be in prison serving life as his ONLY claim to fame is missing his alleged intended target. If he missed yer using a POS who can’t shoot. If he didn’t miss yer using a murderer.

Either or stupid move by your marketing / advertising directors. S/he earned you guys all the grief you get for such.

....he is a sanctioned idiot and is NOT a credible source for your company. Hell I’d rather see Zumbo write a testimonial for y’all.....and that POS is a gun grabber and doesn’t even know it or is denial .

H-S is toting a politically correct line and obviously think more of profits than ethics. That's too bad that they're so disconnected with the philosophies of their customer base. How'd that work out for the Dixie Chicks? :-)

I just came across this discussion and found it enlightening. I have known about ruby ridge, but I was ignorant of the details.
As someone who has acted as a COTR (Contracting Officer Technical Representative)for the feds, I am a little shocked that this POS can be friends with one of the contractors and be the one doing the testing. This is a conflict of interest.

I would encourage anyone out there who has a little spare time to find out who the Contracting Officer was on the project Lon worked on and start raising a stink. I believe this may be a violation of policy and I am interested how the losing contractors feel about it.
