Gun Company (H-S Precision) hires thug/murderer LON HORIUCHI as spokeperson

This is really incredible.

H-S Precision is sells hunting and tactical rifles. Here is a scan from the back cover of their Catalog. Note who did the write-up (circled in yellow):

For the three of you who don't know who Lon Horiuchi is, he's the FBI sniper of Ruby Ridge infamy who murdered Vicki Weaver in cold blood while she was holding her baby.

I'm not sure what H-S was thinking when they decided to hire this despicable thug as a spokesperson, but they are in dire need of remedial correction for this deplorable business decision. No gun decent gun owner/buyer should give them a single dime of their business. For those wishing to contact them, here's the info:

I shot a deer last week with a lightweight Nosler tip on Federal ammo.

I hit her left quarter of sternum front on shot and that damn bullet went way in destroying swaths of that shoulder meat and entered rib cavity and doomed her

70 grains .243

more damage than I’ve ever seen like that but she still went 60 yards in the swamp

I prefer Core Lokt 100 grain...less meat damage

I used that ammo because of the tight MOA....won’t do that again

Sounds like lots of damage.....I use the 300RUM on NM/CO/UT Mulies and Elk only.....my Texas Whitetail rig is an old Mod 96 mauser sporterized. 6.5x55. Or my Grandfathers old 30-40 Krag Carbine he hunted with as a boy.

yeap many believe it was Horiuchi who put the notches for kills made on a shack that was used by snipers in order to to pick off those at Waco before the big burn.

Because its thanksgiving and everyone is off, we have not made contact with HS. We have taken any reference to HS from our web site..

When you first emailed me I honestly did not recall horiuchi's name so you caught me unawares. I also do not read the blogs so the fact there was an issue came as a surpise.

In any event, HS makes a great product and we are a large customer of theirs. Why they would pick a super controversial spokesperson is beyond me. Doing this violates pure business common sense. Early next week we will use whatever persuasive powers at our disposal to get HS to do the right thing..

Do me a favor and tell those on the bolgs that Remington and I are now fully aware of the issue, in full agreement with the outrage, and will do what we can t exert pressure on HS to reverse course.

Just got off the phone with my boys @ Trij.. about this. They do not sell directly to HS, but will look into who does and consider halting sales of their product to any companies who supply HS...

Gonna discuss it at the Monday morning meetings there...

Yeah....money, money, money! It's always amazing how gun manufacturers go for the money and we have to "steer" them back to center. I'm not saying that money on its own is a bad thing. They're in business to make a living. But when they stoop to hiring a jack booted thug for money, that's crossing a line.

Something else that I find amazing... how could H-S be so out of touch to do something like associate with Horiuchi? WTF were they thinking?!
