He even suggested that "we could claim Alaska - it was only granted on lease, after all."

The sovereign Republic Of Texas has the right to secede from the United States at any time. We were an independent nation for 10 years. We can be again. Especially since THIS time, we have most of the manufacturing, enough agriculture, many nuclear power plants, etc., etc.

And NO, the Civil War didn’t end this issue.

There are plenty of believers in freedom, liberty, and yes, even capitalism in Russia. For example, Boris Yeltsin (say what you want about him, he destroyed the Communist Party, and tried unsuccessfully to turn Russia into a free market economy), Anatoly Chubais (economist and reformer), etc.

It’s just a shame so many old communist big wigs were left in positions of authority to totally corrupt the country and its government after the fall of the USSR.

I suppose if they ask *really* nice, we’ll take Oklahoma and annex them.... Sorry, Louisiana, but I think you need to be sold back to the French. :D

Frankly, I really don't want to get flamed by you guys (breakup/secessionist types), since from past experience it is pretty evident that you are not going to be convinced by anything I say. So don't bother.

Okay, to keep it civil then - what do you do when the United States government fails to fulfil its end of the bargain and ignores the Constitution? (As I fully expect the Obamination to.)

What then? If, as you say, the state is bound by the Constitution, it cannot rise up in violent rebellion. The only option is to end participation in the contract that the Feds will by then have abrogated through their own actions.

Works for me. I want to live in a capitalist breakaway country. Too bad we can't just separate out all the concentrated Democrat parasite nests ("cities") and make them one big happy socialist welfare state, and leave the rest of the country alone.

I have no problem overthrowing a government that has chosen to ignore the Constitution. It would fall under the category of "Enemies...Domestic". But that doesn't involve secession or tossing the Constitution. It would be, in fact, defense of the Constitution. If it can be done at the ballot box, well and good, but the 2nd Amendment exists for a reason. We have the best form of government God has thus far given Man. We should be growing this nation rather than shrinking it or dismantling it. If we hadn't allowed the world marxists in their various incarnations, both past and present, to sully our reputation, it might be a lot easier (or rather, possible) to enlarge this nation as some of the Founders actually envisioned. I cherish my country, I do not scorn her.

For the first time in our nation’s history, a man who may have additional allegiances to countries other than the United States of America, may gain executive power. If he has held or currently holds citizenships in any other countries, he is ineligible to be President. If true, he will be scorned for his lack of integrity. A man of integrity would NEVER run and/or accept a position which he is unqualified for based on the constitution. The fact that he is supposedly a constitutional law professor is all the more hypocritical and devious on his part. The University of Chicago will be for ever remembered as sub-par, given their hands off approach in exposing the biggest hoax in our nation’s history. Same with Columbia and Harvard.

The only requirements to become President are natural born citizen (citizen at birth), 35 years of age, and 14 years a resident. Dual citizenship does not disqualify you. In fact, he doesn't even have to be a citizen of the US, only have been one at birth. Not that that would go over well. That may be what he, Obama, is hiding. I certainly agree that his integrity is questionable at best. And many, myself included, already scorn him. If you want to know about the citizenship issue in detail, you can check out my profile.

I do not think civil war will happen, but it looks more and more like a break up of the Union will be the only solution for those of US who Remember America prior to the unchecked immigration wave,and the MSM -Hollywood - and re education centers called Universities did their damage.
My hope is we can save sereral states where morals, and
freedom can survive. A higher hand must help us now.
