Jimmy Carter says Zimbabwe crisis is 'much worse' than imagined
Los Angeles Times ^ | November 24, 2008 | Robyn Dixon

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter today said Zimbabwe's humanitarian crisis was far worse than he could have imagined and expressed dismay that Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and his government refused to acknowledge the problem even existed.

"The entire basic structure in education, healthcare, feeding people, social services and sanitation has broken down," Carter told a news conference in Johannesburg, South Africa. "These are all indications that the crisis in Zimbabwe is much greater, much worse than we had ever imagined."

Carter was part of a delegation that was denied entry into Zimbabwe last week to assess the crisis. The delegation members also included U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan and Grace Machel, the wife of former South African President Nelson Mandela.

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter today said Zimbabwe's humanitarian crisis was far worse than he could have imagined and expressed dismay ....

Dismay? DIS. F'ING. MAY.

That's all that the Leftists can say after having been proven wrong on all counts, after aiding and abetting the very disaster de jure by empowering brutal thugs and helping them to disarm their opponents.

It is simply a wonder that some "dismay" from some surviving victim isn't delivered via Winchester Express (or any of its many competitors) to the offending moralizing enablers of their misery. Simply a wonder.

“Initially, I thought it was only a ‘crisis of confidence’,” Carter told reporters, “but now it seems that it may be a full blown malaise. I reject those who say it’s as bad as a killer rabbit attack.”

Zimbabwe can only be saved by a force like the US Marines but Jimmuh thinks that things need to be much , much worse than he imagined that he imagined, to even contemplate such a solution.

Um, no thank you. This is a job for the UN, ANC, or whomever. Just as long as the USA is not involved.

It is my fear that we will be seeing a steady barrage of how bad it is in Africa (Zimbabwe, Sudan, Congo, Somalia, Yemen, Upper Shitholia, etc) as a prelude to Obama sending in US troops to "restore the US image".

While we could clean out the trash, our forces will be so hamstrung by murky and passive ROE, unclear lines of authority, and absence of mission objective that it will be Beiruit all over again. Good luck to that continent.

Every utterance of this imbecile pushes me into a red eyed rage.

You are far from alone.

How do we get him to go away?

Special requests should be addressed to You Know Who.

There’s only one reason carter and his dancing peanutistas were refused entry to Rhodesia.

The mugabeast was afraid he’d be upstaged by another rabid commie.

I don’t know how he could possible not imagine it. It is the Andersonville Prison without walls, yet with a “deadline”.

I thought that all “Sons of the South” knew about Andersonville.

Yeah, really, what’s up with Carter not playing at being an international monitor? Didn’t he want to call attention to his indispensible role at freeing southern Africa from oppression and corruption?

If you were a freeper Jimmah, you would have been reading Cathy Buckle's letters for years, but if you were a freeper you would know lots of other stuff.

"Jimmy Carter says Zimbabwe crisis is 'much worse' than imagined"

Well anyone in Rhodesia could have told him what to expect back in the mid '70s. It took this long to figure it out?

What an absolute ass. He should be ashamed of himself. He has coddled the worst dictators on the planet and is only saying this because Mugabe snubbed him. Disgusting.

BTW where is the Messiah while Zimbabwe dies? What about Darfur? I can’t wait to see the libs solve all the world’s problems once the chosen one gets into office.

According to recent animal census conducted by the Parks and Wildlife
Management Authority, Zimbabwe has a population of 70 000 hippos and

Um, no thank you. This is a job for the UN, ANC, or whomever. Just as long as the USA is not involved.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Which is exactly my point as well. The caterwalling has begun. Soon we will be sending in our soldiers to places like Zimbabawe and Darfur, carrying rifles and not issued live ammo. Thats how the Dems use our military, with impossible rules of engagement. And then they refuse to send tanks when the going gets so rough against our servicemen and women, like that POS Clinton did in Somalia.Notice how that finally worked out. Pirates and Muslim Somali Council threat to Kenya. Thank God for the Ethiopians, you don't hear much Obama worship from them.

And so all this "Jimmuh Junk: ("its mahch wuhse than Ah cahn pahsahbly imahgine" Jimuh Crap) is a warm up for U.S. intervention and "humanitarian intervention". I mean with Obama in the bully seat, and Hillery in State, one wonders what liberal retards will end up on the JCS, who will need to go along with this sort of thing. The era of military intervention with no aspiration for victory is about to be reintroduced. We will become a nation of peace keepers instead of the worlds freedom police, a gloried ducied up Peace Corps. Its enough to make a grown man puke!

So I agree with you 1:1.
