Buena Park Pastor says Obama was born in Kenya and can not be sworn in as President

President-Elect Barack Obama says he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Obama provided a birth certificate to prove it, but a Buena Park pastor says Obama is not telling the truth.

The Orange County Register reports that Rev. Wiley Drake, who ran for vice president on the American Independent ticket, filed a lawsuit claiming "Obama has not provided sufficient proof he is a U.S. citizen, and asks that Secretary of State Debra Bowen not certify California's election results until he provides more concrete evidence.

Here, my dear FRiends, are some of the Obama kool-aid drinking brain trusts over at the LA NBC news site who have made comments regarding this story. Enjoy!

# DJ Today at 9:38 PM How can Obama be a US senator? What will happen if he’s not a US citizen? I don’t think that they would refuse his presidency. I don’t think the American people would allow it. Rules or no rules...it doesn’t matter. The people voted for him, he’s president and the rules will just have to be changed.

# Me Today at 9:37 PM If Obama doesn’t have a birth certificate then how was he elected president? Wouldn’t they have checked where he was from and where he was born before letting him run? Think about it...

and my personal favorite:

# get over it Today at 9:36 PM he president get over it

What an idiot. He's describing the death of our constitutional form of self-government.

Those people are scary, especially when you realize they’re representative of the mass of Obama supporters.

I cannot believe that you made me laugh about and enjoy (in context!) a Phil Collins song

Once Peter Gabriel left, Genesis became a backup band for Phil. He was good, but should have remained behind the drumset...

Kinda like Levon Helm...

Fair enough. Biden is a natural born citizen. That seems the just decision to me.

The most just thing would have been to decide this BEFORE the election, however. I hope the Supremes set up a system of some kind to ensure that all presidential candidates are natural born citizens from here on out.

He would be an "honorary" one-term president with an asterisk, not a constitutional president. I think I could live with that...for four years.

Your statement above is SO beyond ignorant, it is positively painful. What part of CONFORMS TO CONSTITUTIONAL REQUIREMENTS do you not understand?

I cannot believe how utterly ignorant about THE BASIS OF LAW FOR THE LAND some folks are!

I don't even LIVE down there, but at least I understand that you have to obey the laws of the land to be CONSIDERED for CITIZENSHIP.

I would logically surmise that in order to run for the leadership of said land, I would presumably be ready, willing and able to produce IMMEDIATELY UPON REQUEST, proof that I conformed with the ~240 year old requirements for eligibility. It's not like they're a POP QUIZ, or anything of the sort...

Is there a trade in the offing?

I'd vote for you, Don. ;o)

If there is a "from here on out".

Having said that, you have more confidence in the SCOTUS than I.

I'm sure that the riots that would occur will sway their thought process. The Constitution and Law mean little to the left. The average Obombus voter has heard of a "Constitution" but has little understanding of it.

Obombus voter: "This is a Democracy, right? So the most votes wins!"

The notorious “birth certificate” was withdrawn as a forgery

No it wasn’t.
Its still available for viewing at Obama’s “fight the smears” web site and it has been “authenticated” as “genuine” at both the factcheck.org and politfact web sites.

So what’s the scenario? His dad or whoever enrolls him in school as an Indonesian and he carries that with him until he’s grown and comes to the states. Did he use an Hawaiian CLB to get an American passport?

It's all part of the big can of worms that needs to be opened.

“When did he provide a birth certificate?”

I believe it was a certificate of live birth (COLB) which is not a BC. The document simply states that the infant was living at time of birth. As to where this document was provided, I know that I read that it appeared on the Daily Kos.

“Do I dare hope this has legs?”

I truly believe the fact that it has gotten this far means that IT DOES IN FACT HAVE LEGS as you put it!! My husband is an attorney and tells me the fact that it got this far means they are seriously looking at everything which is why the media is beginning to pick up the story. I really do not see how these judges can decide in favor of BO. To do so would be to change our Constitution which would set up a precedent of changing other laws and probably more laws... The Constitution being the very bedrock upon which our nations law originate, would be essentially trying to change the very foundations of our society and think how dangerous this could be to all of us!! We truly need to pray this does not happen. The Constitution is a sacred document that has made us great, and provides the protection of the freedoms we hold so dear. That would be like the Christian throwing away the ten commandments. Without them, where are we? I can’t see the Supreme Court making a decision to go against our Constitution!! Maybe that’s what BO had in mind... It certainly seems as if he THINKS he’s gotten away with it.

Are you implying that the SCOTUS would let a man serve as President even tho he is disqualified just because some segment of the population is prone to rioting? Hmm, that wouldn’t be very Constitutionally sound reasoning.

As a retired and recovering attorney, the Supreme Court at least has an eye toward the political aspects of their decisions. Here, I’m sure, they know if they cancel the election of BO, there would be riots, and the Justices would have to go into hiding.

So, what do you think would be their decision?
