I am awaiting clarification from the Clerk's office at the United States Supreme Court as to whether my stay application has now been accepted in lieu of a more formal full petition for certiorari (and/or mandamus or prohibition). Such a transformation is a rare and significant emergency procedure. It was used in Bush v. Gore, a case I have relied on in my brief.
We do know the case has certainly been "DISTRIBUTED for Conference", a process usually reserved for full petitions of certiorari. Stays are usually dealt with in a different manner. As to a stay application, a single Justice may; a) deny the stay; b) grant the stay; c) refer the stay to the full Court.

I HOPE the reason could be:
1) they weren’t aware of Obama’s dual citizenship issues
2) the Constitutional requirement is that only a Natural Born Citizen can HOLD the office of President. Not run for the office, but HOLD the office — they didn’t want to interfer with the Election process until it became an actual problem
Their rules allow them to hear ANY case, regardless if it referred to them via appeal or not.
I say I HOPE this, because it’s FAR more sinister if the SCOTUS actually realized this and was going to let it happen anyway ... I don’t even want to ponder that ...

Do a search regarding Obama and birth certificate or birth place. You will find plenty of info on why it is getting this much attention here.
I agree. I think this is the international crisis that he referred to when he asked for support and said that we might not agree with all that happens.
They can't. The Supreme Court, or any court for that matter, can't go out trolling for work. They can rule only on matters which are brought to them.
How do you know that Donofrio thinks that Obama really has a vault BC showing he was indeed born in HI? He actually thinks that to be so?

No it's not. The Supreme Court ruled in an 1898 case that the citizenship of the parents was irrelevant when it came to determining natural born status. If the child was born in the U.S., if he/she is subject to U.S. laws, if the parents were domiciled in the U.S. when the child was born, then the child is a U.S. citizen. Only exceptions are for children of diplomats and children born of enemy aliens while interned in the U.S. And, at the time, children born into Indian tribes.

Exactly. Kids can learn about guns and gun safety. We taught our children that there is no such thing as an unloaded gun and there is no such thing as a dull knife.

Went to Hannity’s BB yesterday for the first time. The BC thread had over 150,000 views. We the people are driving this issue.
If the SC is objective, they must know that Obama is exactly the kind of divided loyalty citizen that the founders of our country wanted to deny status to. He campaigned for a relative in a foreign election. That relative is now serving. He must have divided loyalty.

Your scenario is one I had not considered and could be a possible explanation to their silence. It is unfortunate, however, that Rush, Hannity, et al., didn’t pursue this issue well before the elections. If they had, there is a good chance we wouldn’t be in the situation we are in right now. This issue should have been resolved long before now and they could have helped resolve it.
Do a test that i just did:
- Google “obama birth certificate” - you get 1,100,000 references
- Yahoo the same phrase - you get 10,300,000 references
Another difference? With the google lookups, you get things like factcheck, etc. - in other words the MSM version. On Yahoo, things like world net daily.
I have 17 websites (ebay) that I run as a part-time business. It is WIDELY accepted that Google has a much better search engine than all the other search engines combined. So how is it that Yahoo has 10 times the number of google searches for the same phrase? Don’t forget, Google was also a major contributor to the chosen one.
How deep does this conspiracy go?

Yeah, and most were focusing on the economy, Bailout Bill, etc. Almost as if it was the “tail wagging the dog” all over again {tin-foil hat time...}
But seriously, Leo didn’t even bring up the case until Oct. 27 or so, just a few days before the election. And his observation was “there it was — right out there in the open.”
Strangely enough, I thought the same with the Paula Jones case. I believe SCOTUS goofed in thinking the Prez (Clinton) could deal with that and his official duties.
