Exclusive: TVNewser has learned veteran Fox News Channel anchor E.D. Hill will not be renewed when her current contract expires. Hill, who has been with Fox News for more than 10 years, will continue with the network for the next few months until her current deal expires.
SVP of Programming Bill Shine tells TVNewser that he "chose not to renew E.D.'s latest contract" but noted that "Hill has been a valued contributor to the success of FNC over the years, and we wish her all the best."
Hill has been without a regular Fox News program since June 16, when America's Pulse was replaced by two hours of Live Desk. Ten days earlier Hill used the term terrorist fist jab when promoting an upcoming body language segment that was going to look into the primary night fist bump shared by Barack and Michelle Obama.
For most of her nearly 11 years at FNC Hill anchored Fox & Friends. In 2006 she moved to a late morning program then to the afternoons where, in the months leading up to the election, she'd been filling in on America's Election HQ.
I never watched anything with her after she left Fox & Friends. Megyn Kelly, in contrast, can hold her own (intellectually included) in the studio or work with partners as well. Geraldo, in contrast, needs to be flying solo.
(invoking the rule: Kelly)
I’ll go wherever ED goes. I just plain like her and miss her. Well unless she goes to MSNBC...or CNN
My guess is Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal had a hand in this. He’s, according to Time magazine, the “Warren Buffett of Saudi Arabia” and the 19th richest person in the world according to Forbes. His biggest investments are reported to include Citigroup and News Corps., parent of FOX News. He also owns shares in Coca-Cola, Ford, McDonalds, Amazon.com, Disney, Time Warner.
This Prince was the guy who wanted to donate 10 million to NYC after 9-11, but Guiliani refused to accept it. Apparently, he loves to donate to Muslim charities...In 2002, the Saudi Arabian government raised more than $100 million for Palestinians through live, government-organized telethons. The purpose for hosting the telethons was to benefit the families of “martyrs,” otherwise known as suicide bombers. Billionaire investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal donated $27 million to the Palestinian fund. In 2005, he donated $20 million each to Harvard and Georgetown Universities for Islamic studies programs.
Some believe that this guy is the person behind Obama’s education. It’s been circulating on the web that what bin Talal wants, he gets. If it’s in America, he has used Dr. Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour (founder of Black Panthers, went to Harvard Law School, Opec representative) to help him acquire it. Al-Monsour and the Prince go way back into the 1970s. His relationship with the Prince helped al-Monsour become legal counsel to King Saud.
Tie these guys to Obama?
There a guy named Percy Sutton. Sutton, the founder of Inner City Broadcasting. He claims al-Mansour contacted him to ask a favor: Would Sutton write a letter in support of Obamas application to Harvard Law School?
He wrote to me about him, Sutton recalled. And his introduction was there is a young man that has applied to Harvard. I know that you have a few friends up there because you used to go up there to speak. Would you please write a letter in support of him?
Sutton said he acted on his friend al-Mansours advice.
I wrote a letter of support of him to my friends at Harvard, saying to them I thought there was a genius that was going to be available and I certainly hoped they would treat him kindly, Sutton told NY1.
Sutton did not say why al-Mansour was helping Obama, how he discovered him, or from whom he was raising money on Obamas behalf.
That didn’t stop Obamas momma.
Right it is either sexism or political correctness.
It is FNC’s business model. Young attractive women, preferably blonde, make the best reporters. Ratings lagging? Show video clips of scantily clad women. It has worked well for ten years.
You're right. He was too cool for gimmicks ;-)
Wow, that was really something. Thanks for posting.
Sorry to hear that, remember ED from when she was back here in Pittsburgh as E.D. Tarbauch
She will write a book and sub for Rush, and make much more money.
Hopefully, someone will step up and fill the void fox is leaving in it's wake and create a news channel that isn't infested with left leaning imbeciles like mr. shine.
Until that day, I shall gather my news exclusively from the net.
Must get that 5% of the MSM not properly trained in the art of Hussein adoration and protection, out of the way.
FoxNews has become just another Communist propaganda channel. We removed it from our cable lineup. E.D. Hill was a good host. That “terrorist fist jab” is exactly what it is. She had every right to call attention to it.
Rupert Murdoch owns FoxNews and is a strong supporter of Obama.
I'm with you on that one, too.
Me, too. Every once in a while I peek at Fox, and the bias is actually more extreme than I first thought.
Internet news is all I need to keep abreast. Actually, it is better since I can read newspapers from around the world and find the stories news-network-Americans never hear about.
My life is better without the tv news. Definitely.
Erin Burnett-the MSNBC(?) finance reporterette-who referred-twice- to George W. Bush, the President of the United States as “the monkey in the middle” on TV, has no comment.
Aren't you referring to Edye Tarbox?
(No wonder she changed her name!)
