Oswald co-worker no longer silent about JFK assassination role

01:56 AM CST on Sunday, November 16, 2008

By HUGH AYNESWORTH / Special Contributor to The Dallas Morning News

LEWISVILLE – Buell Frazier wants to tell it like it is – or was – on a very important day in U.S. history 45 years ago in Dallas.

The quiet, thoughtful man of 64 is not as well-known as some of the others who skyrocketed to fame or infamy in November 1963. But Mr. Frazier played a defining, if unintentional, role in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

He drove Lee Harvey Oswald to work that fateful Nov. 22.

And the Warren Commission, the investigative committee appointed to explain all aspects of Mr. Kennedy's death, claimed that Oswald carried his cheap mail-order rifle to work with him in Mr. Frazier's car.

That put Mr. Frazier in the spotlight immediately after Oswald was captured – and long afterward as a mourning nation sought to find an explanation to the tragedy.

With but a few exceptions, he has kept almost 4 ½ decades of angst, frustration, fear and occasionally even fury bottled up.

All Mr. Frazier did was offer a friendly gesture to a man he hardly knew.

Offering a ride

In mid-September 1963, Mr. Frazier, 19, moved to Irving to live with his sister, Linnie Mae Randle, her husband and three children.

He slept on his sister's couch, drove a clunker Chevy and was pleased to be earning $1.25 an hour, then the minimum wage, at the Texas School Book Depository.

As a teenager in Huntsville, Mr. Frazier had deftly ...

Thanks devolve. Strange to see that “line” in frame 4 when we’ve always understood the shots came from behind.

I read everything about it through the years, watched numerous TV shows on it. It’s still unsolved.

Jackie was already holding on to him after the first shot in that film strip.

"Because Ruby understood his obligations as a member of the mob. He wasn't an unstable nut like Oswald."

Ruby wasn't mob. He was very much an unstable nut. Read his own testimony.

I don’t know that carbine, but wasn’t it possible for Oswald to have disassembled the stock from the barrel? Absolutely. If you cut off the forestock end a couple inches back the rifle could be broken down by just three screws usng a coin. Very easy.

I don’t know what line you are talking about. But are you claiming to see a bullet?

Right, shots right on top of each other, I agree with you.

Connoly keeps hold of his stetson everyone, he couldn’t have if the MB went that zig-zag path because a bullet was around his wrist as well.

I would have though that the easier shot from the window would have been the straight on one while the car was on Houston. No leaning out the window required; slow moving car in the short block between the 90 degree right turn and the acute left turn, level ground.

Why wait for the accelerating sweeping right heading for the freeway ramp?

Yes Lucy, I knew that YOU would look at it. I should have posted it outright the first time but thought it might bother some. Well, I just did away with that worry, lol.

Jackie Kennedy to her dying day cursed “that little Communist” who killed JFK. RFK, who you would think would be amenable to “getting” conspirators also thought Oswald acted alone. The whole problem with the investigation is that Kennedy had a lot of enemies, and Dallas wasn’t friendly territory for Kennedy. Therefore you’re going to get a lot of blind leads leading nowhere. If someone shot GWB, there would be the same level of conspiracy theorists, but the most likely culprit would be some deranged leftist loser or jihadist.

"I haven’t ever posed any theories here or elsewhere other than saying Johnson was awfully happy to become President."

So was his buddy J.Edgar Hoover who hated the Kennedys.

[But are you claiming to see a bullet?]

I won’t make any claims. The “experts’ have viewed it for years.

I have a new 22 inch monitor, bright and clear. I can see the same line in the small video too. It goes between JFK’s head at a slight right angle towards the center top of the picture. Coming inward or ‘stuff’ going outward - I can’t say, but it is a straight line.

Sorry, I don’t think it can be said RFK believed in a single gunman.

““President Johnson didn’t believe the Warren Commission; nor did Robert Kennedy, as David Talbot’s new book ‘Brothers’ shows,” Mr. Stone said in an e-mail message. “In 1979, the House of Representatives Select Committee on Assassinations determined that President Kennedy ‘was probably assassinated as the result of a conspiracy.’ The Warren Commission, deservedly, has not stood the test of time.”” - http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/14/books/14jfk.html

Odd turn of words:

Nuts believe in a JFK conspiracy but those who don’t believe in a lone nut.

Look at my posts, 226, 247 and 252, proof that the shot came from BEHIND.

People saying that the final shot came from the grassy knoll have a pesky enemy called...PHYSICS.

‘It doesn’t say security was removed.’

I guess reading comprehension was not your strong suit....it says so in SEVERAL places on that page:

Agents off the rear of limo - moved from walking along the side and riding on the Presidential Limo to trailing car

Removal of the bubble-top - Secret Service removed the top to the car (giving a shooter access to Kennedy) was unauthorized by the President

Reduction of motorcycle outriders - escorts reduced from 6 to 4 and pulled back from leading car

Security Stripping - Agents removed from the car and told to stay back when shots were fired (normally the secret service would take a bullet and act as a shield to the President)

Additional fatal flaws in presidential security
during the Dallas trip include:

“Thus, during the most critical seconds of the Dallas motorcade, John F. Kennedy was denied potentially life-saving protection as the result of a direct order given by a ranking member of the United States Secret Service.”

"Connaly keeps hold of his stetson everyone, he couldn’t have if the MB went that zig-zag path because a bullet was around his wrist as well."

The shot to Connally's back @Z325 explains many of the "mysteries" in the JFK assassination.

1) Yes, it's possible Connally held his hat after he was shot through the wrist but gosh, it doesn't look like he had a massive wound in his arm when he turns around Z230 to look over his right shoulder

2) Yes, he could have turned to look over his right shoulder, and taken over 5 seconds to do it, but a massive wound to his back, passing through his lung and then an exit wound THAT YOU CAN'T SEE that's about the size of a baseball in his chest. How could he turn like that? (ANSWER IS HE DIDn't, he wasn't shot in the back until seconds later).

It makes so much more sense that Connally was shot in the back after JFK's head shot, especially with witnesses telling you that's what they heard, two shots bang-bang and one of them was the one that hit JFK in the head.

Once you understand bang bang, two shots fired within a second of each other, then you know there was a conspiracy, multiple shooter, 4 shots is NOT sufficient to explain all the wounds.

Then you have to explain how the government investigators could IGNORE so many who said BANG-BANG AND also explain how they ignored Connally who said the bullet BENT ME OVER. The answer is some important people were controlling the investigation. The truth was not going to surface while they were in charge.

As I remember it, the grassy knoll was to the front right side of them. Been a long time since I read and watched about it all.

I still am wondering what that red line is that comes from the left side of the car, up high. Did you see it? Very clear to me. It’s not brain tissue, it’s a straight red looking line, all else is ‘spatter’.

You can believe in the magic bullet. I do not.

There were 2 or 3 shooters.
