“They will not open the door to the massive convulsion that would follow.”
I say open the door. Will it consume us? Let us see it, then!
for later
>>>Never happened<<<
Sure it did. Right here: Born in the U.S.A. O.K., I know the detractors are going to sputter, "B-B-BUT IT'S NOT A LONG-FORM, "VAULT" CERTIFICATE!!!" Well, guess what? A short form is good enough for the State Department, it is good enough that nobody with a reputation to uphold be it McCain, Palin, Hillary, Rush, Hannity, etc. brought up the issue and, most importantly, it will be good enough for about 99.9% of America to accept that Obama is eligible to be president (whether we're happy about this or not).
Chasing this ghost detracts from the real issue: How did the Republican brand become so tarnished that it was soundly rejected by the majority of American voters and what can Republicans do to correct this in the future. Pursuing this birth certificate garbage makes us look like sore losers (and conspiracy nuts) and this isn't going to help win future elections. We have congress in 2010 to think about. That's where we should be focused. This won't go anywhere.
Do you think we should "roll over and play dead" on this issue like Republicans are now expected to do?
Should we continue to turn a blind eye as the Dems steal votes/elections as is happening now in Minneapolis?
I think it's high time for this party to "grow a pair" instead of always wimping out with the line "this will never go anywhere".
As long as we keep reciting that loser mantra, we'll continue to lose....it's not rocket science.
How about until the requirements of our Constitution are met...?
How does Keyes have standing? I know he ran against Obama for Senate a few years ago, but how does that give him standing in a Presidential contest?
Let them riot. It's a means to an end. Who has the gaul to remove him? The courts, CIA, FBI, and if they fail, that will be another issue to adress. After that, it becomes the duty a high ranking Military commander.
NEVER.
But the SUPREMES and a phalanx of FEDERAL MARSHALS MIGHT!
If he FAILS to “stand and deliver” and the Supremes let it ride, the rule of law is dead and, like Lazarus (and Obama’s ideas), will soon stinketh.
However, if Barack is indeed not qualified and is a patriot,he would go on T.V. and admit that he knew he wasn’t qualified and he would withdraw with deep aplogies and take FULL responsibilty for the mess and would urge his supporters to follow the law.
That’s what should happen and the man would stand tall.
This all makes me wonder if ol’ Joe’s predictions of “being tested” was in reference to the constitutional challenges now being brought.
The “tough decisions” that most Americans would not agree with would be Obama’s family exhibiting “squatter’s rights” within the White House.
Oy.
“Just let the illegal be President...........who cares! “
The rule of law cares.
Thought this was all nonsense but at this point I have to wonder. Why doesn’t he produce the long form bc to any court.
I’m going to venture a guess that something is in it he doesn’t want out. But I’m not convinced that it’s because of place of birth. Perhaps daddy is not really the daddy he’s stated.
Obama has lied so much about so many things, I would not be surprised if in fact he was a full bloodied red diaper baby and the byproduct of Frank Davis, real life Soviet supporting commie party member. But I digress....
Is this unusual? Are there usually lawsuits questioning an elected President’s eligibility?
Alan Keyes is one heck of a guy. He extends meaning for “Country First.” It’s a measure of a man that he defends against all odds.
They have to. The law is the law. If they don't, there will be an even bigger massive convulsion. If the law doesn't aply to Obama, it applies to no one. Besides, it's not the courts country, it's OUR country. The court is there to serve us by upholding the laws of the land, our constitution which WE THE PEOPLE elected to put in place to form the foundation of law and order in this country.
Maybe, maybe not. You say so, but I have experience to the contrary.
The DMV will accept a driver's license. So what?
Here we have apples and oranges in abundance, along with a bushel of manure.
Why settle for the manure? I don't believe for a second that a court of jurisdiction will settle for anything less than best evidence.
Sorry.
Keyes ran for President in 2008.
