Perhaps we would not be in this world of sh!t if there were a magazine entitled “The America ACTER”. But no, CONSERVATIVES “don’t do things like that”, they prefer to sit on collective ass, grumble and pay their taxes.
It would wake up the Beltway, big time, if the day after obama’s inauguration if the producers just stayed home. No production, no taxes. Not a strike or protests, just an empty office.
There is no reason outside of a well equipped, well trained DoD to have a "Civilian Security" or "Civilian Defense" force UNLESS it is for intimidation, re-education, and oppression of LEGAL citizen dissent in the face of a mad man's view of how American Government should be.

I have had this question myself; What is exactly the role of this FORCE in interacting with the common public? Law enforcement is up to the police. Any other “enforcement” or interaction with the citizenry will have Constitutionally problematic issues. A unit with militaristic training with uniforms without constitutional limitations is potentially a Gestapo. IMHO, there is no way this group will NOT ultimately be misused and constitutionally abusive, most likely in a political mannor.

This fear is partly due to the success of the Bush Administration’s efforts on the homefront. Contrary to the frantic hyperbole from the left about the Patriot Act and President Adolf Hitler Bush, we really have felt safe and secure these past 7 years.
