Washington (CNSNews.com) – Americans are “not concerned” that they may lose jobs to illegal aliens in a tight job market, according to speakers at a panel discussion conducted Thursday in Washington, D.C., by the National Council of La Raza.
Simon Rosenberg, president and CEO of NDN – formerly the New Democrat Network -- said that Republicans are now “paying a steep price for demonizing Hispanics” in their “anti-immigration rhetoric” – rhetoric that he said created the “fear of losing jobs to undocumented immigrants of Americans.”
Research conducted for La Raza, which describes itself as the “largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States,” indicates that Americans are “more concerned” with undocumented immigrants “being able to pay their fair share of taxes,” Rosenberg said, than they are of losing jobs to illegals.
When asked if he still felt that American jobs would not be threatened by undocumented immigrants despite the fact the current unemployment rate is now at a 14-year high of 6.5 percent, Rosenberg told CNSNews.com that he believes undocumented immigrants have taken jobs that Americans “do not want,” but that there “might be” a shift in concern if unemployment rates continue to rise.

I think the concern is more along the lines of the fact that the Mexicans left Mexico for better job opportunities and freedom...unfortunately, they brought Mexico with them and will inevitably turn us into Mexico, which a great many of us would certainly oppose and ultimately the place they fled in the first place!
My question is, after they screw us up (unless obama beats them to it) where will they go then?
Unfortunately, there are no claymores in place.
Then they have no right to claim American Indian land. In fact I suggest they work to return Mexico to the the rightful owners...the Inca’s, Aztecs and Mayans. Kick the Spanish out!

In this case, it's power for La Raza (The Race). Even though Hispanics aren't actually a race.
Yes. They are descendants of various tribes, which were conquered by the Spanish, and they speak the Spanish language.
So they are like Chavez in Venezuela, not like former Mexico President Vicente Fox, who is a Mexican of Spanish descent, not Hispanic.

La Raza can be very ‘in your face’ as I know of some members in an Atlanta Metro County. They are brassy and switch to talking in Spanish instead of English just to confuse anyone who doesn’t speak Spanish.
Why can’t all people act civilized? Is that too much to ask? I play by the rules and other ethnic groups don’t. Why?

Republicans need to start talking about how groups that want to exploit hispanics simply for their votes are throwing law abiding American citizens of hispanic descent in with law breaking illegal immigrants, thus creating animosity between groups.

Actually, I’ve talked to many who agree. Of course none of THEM has ever lost their job to an illegal, yet.
