It's standard fare for a president to make a bipartisan gesture by including one member of the opposing party in his cabinet - just as it's always the case (lest we forget) that every president-elect vows to change the tone in Washington and reach out magnanimously to his vanquished opponents.

But John Podesta, the former Bill Clinton former chief of staff who's spearheading the transition for the 44th president, said today that there would be independents and Republicans in Barack Obama's cabinet and "not just at a token level".

Here's what's happening. Outside of the brief personal jabs which occur within issues such as the one that you started, we're simply holding you to a standard. It's a long established standard and has certain "tests" that people naturally incline toward or not. You've obviously failed the "test", but continue on and simply prove by what you write and your reactions to us that you shouldn't be here.

What's happening here isn't "nice", and probably not even "kind". But you'll answer for what you've written with logic and a reasonable explanation as we asked originally before you digressed to hostilities or we will simply continue hold you to it and will ask you in every thread you post in to explain yourself for this thread. You'll have to complain to the admin mods eventually, and if they ban us for "stalking" then your type will be all that's left here eventually, and the owners/operators of FreeRepublic will simply have to deal with a forum full of your types.

So calm down and quit spitting fire and go back and answer for #92 (if possible) and say sorry for getting nasty with me and others for starters. Otherwise, I'll just keep this up with you and you'll either have to create another screen name to stay away from us, or not post liberal/retarded things, or "all of the above".

I find it amazing that the liberal is aggressive and offensive by nature, but the very instant we conservatives even display a hint of aggression, the liberal cries strong and loud and kicks back with accusations of hate usually. Either this, or they cry that they feel threatened.

I know you're not finding this pleasant, but you have to understand that there now exists a fundemental rift that is redefining "conservatives". With as big a difference as we're seeing here, only one can be right in this case. Whether that is you or not, you're a minority here and you have to deal with this fact.

Bad people make bad presidents. It's a typical leftist idea that a person can separate their public and personal lives. We weren't born YESTERDAY, and we stopped believing this sort of crap when we learned that there was no such thing as the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, or the Tooth Fairy. Bad people are bad people no matter whether we see them in public, or private! To believe otherwise is to ignore basic tenets of human nature. But then, this is leftism we're talking about and they've honed this sort of thing to a fine art.

Let's take it to an extreme and say that the 9-11 bombers were really good people under it all. They just got misdirected along the way and did some bad things. Yeah right...another leftist concept. Leftists want to understand why somebody would do something terrible things, or hope in vain that a person at their core (in their personal lives) won't bleed over into their professional lives. But to think this way is to believe a lie. Worse than this, it's a lie which disproves itself out in the open. To think this way requires that a person be willfully ignorant, which is the definition of stupidity....willful ignorance. It's also a form of rebellion, which is why it's aggressive in nature.

But the worst thing about willful ignorance is that it self perpetuates itself to the detriment of everybody around it, not simply those who practice it.

It's not me dude! I suspect it's the libtard. They all come unglued and stoop to profanity and vulgarity when we confront them. We've seen it before. It's playing out pretty much like all the rest we've railroaded.

I don't think so. BS is in CA. This lady is in/around Chicago. I've already ID'd her IP address. Not only this, but her writing style is different.

I don't know about the tossed posts. I suspect they were hers. Her types always stoop to extreme nastiness very quickly, and if I was to take a guess, I'd say that she suffered "exploding head syndrome" and spewed a bunch of nasty stuff into the thread and the admin mods deleted them.

Ah well... shall we continue to "redefine" conservatism my friend?! I'm rather enjoying this. :-)
