The Federal Election Commission is not likely to conduct a potentially embarrassing audit of Barack Obamas record-breaking fundraising campaign despite allegations of questionable donations and accounting.
Thats the disclosure from Politico.com, which reports that Obama will probably escape scrutiny in large part because unlike John McCain, he declined to accept $84 million in public financing.

How about all of us who made the ground swell over the immigration issue, do a little magic on the election commission...or do we just get fired up on things that Bush was involved in?

This “profound leftist favoritism” along with “profound conservatism suppression” is also part of why I see conservatism fail to make any kind of serious political comeback here until, at least, sixty years later, but I seriously want to be proven wrong about all of this! Leftist in control of everything important are very dangerous, and they really will do all that they can do to always remain in power!

Just unbelievable.
The rest of us are expected to obey the law, pay our taxes, and do the right thing. But this ahole gets away with everything.
To: Foolsgold
As usual conservatives have to deliver while lefties steal away. No wonder we lost.

Instead of an audit how about just a computer check to see how many unique credit card numbers were used (vs number of unique donor names), how many of those numbers are associated with US bank accounts and how many are associated with foreign bank accounts. If that looks as ugly, as many of us suspect it will, then investigate the account holder with the foreign banks. Maybe nothing is there and maybe it is huge. Until someone looks it will be unknown. And, by the way, is it a federal crime to wipe out such records? I suspect there is someone right now preparing to go to jail to cover this up if that is the case. RNC needs to file suits right now to freeze these records so they aren't lost.

Well, glad to hear that Senator McCain is in the wrong and buttercup skates without a scrattch.
Good thinking. {PUKE}
