This guy is some kind of joker.
So if the Batman franchise is bankrupted, will the U.S. gubmint provide a bailout?
Looks like Oliver Stone is in need of a federal bailout this week.
I think I'll stop now...
I think that it took an American trial lawyer to sightsee in the city and realize that there was a potential gold mine in a trademark violation tort.
Hope the judge fines him for making a frivolous lawsuit. What an idiot. They got the same name, but for completely different reasons (one named after the Bati Raman mountains, the other a combination of the words “bat” and “man”, hence the insignia and costume). That and their town didn’t become anything more then a village til the 50’s, whereas the Batman character has been around since 1939. 10-to-1 this guy’s the one and only person on the entire planet who’s never heard of Batman, so it’s a complete shock to him to see a character in a movie called Batman. But even so, you gotta be a flaming idiot to think that that name has anything at all to do with his town. He’s called Batman because he’s a man who dresses as a bat. He isn’t related to Turkey, the Turkish city of Batman, the Bati Raman Mountains, or anything of the sort.
Pfft. Good!! :o)
Okay, change the name of the caped crusader from Batman to Diyarbakir
Bob Hope would be in favor of the name Duck-Burger [I guess you had to be there;-)]
“Well, Santa was a Turk also..”
This guy should also prepare a lawsuit for Macy’s.
Sorry, but I seriously doubt that Batman the character and Batman the city have anything more in common than pronunciation, let alone the same meaning.
There’s a family in my community with the last name of Batman. Wonder if this guy will sue them, as well?
Saweet! I wish my last name was Batman!
Wikipedia: Batman (disambiguation) disagrees
LOL! I don’t think the two boys were crazy about it when we were growing up. But maybe now as adults they have come to appreciate it. It beats having “Wonderwoman” for a last name, that’s for sure!
"Why so serious?!"
Oh yeah? Well you jerks named your country after our Thanksgiving day bird without asking, so no soup for you!
Do they fight crime?
In December 1825, or early 1826, Batman captured the notorious bushranger, Matthew Brady.[1][2]
I'd expect this kind of story from the two-faced media.
