Interesting. You never know, maybe John Batman was their ancestor...
Bat-Man. Who knew that the English language was invented in turkey, and that the rodent we know as the “bat” was named after that turkish city (they have been spotted here for the first time in history), also who knew that men get along with the “bats” in the quite sleepy villiage-earning it its long held name “batman”, then who knew the creator of the comic book “Batman” named his charecter after the law-and order sheriffs of this very town which dress in “Bat” Costumes to fight crime..Krane (the creator) then took this to America, indroduces it to thirteen year-olds, sets his character in New Yor..ahem Gotham and does the exact same thing. NO WONDER THIS MAYOR thinks, he has grounds to sue..He sure might ;D!
I think that settles that. One question, since Batman the comic has been around since 1939, should WB counter-sue the city for copyright infringement?
This is about the most cut and dry case for a Laches defense I have ever seen.
