PEARL, Miss. -- The American Civil Liberties Union of Mississippi said Friday that it had received numerous reports from throughout the state from parents and students regarding alleged violations of students’ free speech following Tuesday’s election, Jackson television news station WAPT reported.
On Thursday, the Pearl Schools superintendent said that a school bus driver and a coach were disciplined for allegedly telling students not to say President-elect Barack Obama’s name.
Reporters with 16 WAPT News received several calls from upset parents that said a school bus driver told the children on a Pearl school bus that if they said Obama’s name, they would be written up and taken to the principal’s office for disciplinary reasons.
Another parent said that a coach at Pearl Junior High School told students that if they speak Obama’s name, they would face expulsion.
The ACLU said the complaints encompass harassment, bullying and intimidation.
"A complete prohibition of political speech violates the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and will not be tolerated," the ACLU said in a statement. "This election should serve as an opportunity to educate students and encourage tolerance."

I agree. However, if these people are actually threatening kids for saying Obama’s name.....I sigh in disgust.
Meanwhile the guy wearing a McCain shirt in PA is still in jail.

The ACLU is full of Obama.
During the campaign, people were balled out for speaking or writing Obama’s middle name, Hussein. Doing so was called “racist.” Mark Levin circumvented the prohibition by giving him a middle name that had gone uncensored in the past, that is the middle name of Richard Nixon; Levin calls him “Barack Millhouse Obama.”

he will have no other name that "the fuhrer" until his hopefully very short reign is over. There are enough crimes in his campaign alone to impeach him, much less the crimes that will be found for when he was a member of the Chicago Mob.
