Rep. calls Obama Marxist, warns of dictatorship

WASHINGTON (Map, News) - A Republican congressman from Georgia is calling President-elect Obama a Marxist and warning that he might be planning to form a Gestapo-like security force so he can rule as a dictator.

Two-term Rep. Paul Broun of Athens cited a July speech that has circulated on the Internet in which Obama called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military.

If you translate that innocent statement to ‘Gestapo’, then you need to do whatever helps you relax.....wine, tylenol, nyquil....whatever.

And if you actually BELIEVE his "innocent statement", then you need to get OFF the wine, tylenol, nyquil.....whatever. The sole purpose of this civilian force will be to enforce party orthodoxy. Any speech or action which they deem "unhelpful" will require immediate action from his brown shirts. Who are you trying to kid, pal?

Actually, what's going to happen is that Democrats are going to recoil in mock horror and ask Republicans to denounces Broun ("Democrats Denounce Broun, ask Republicans to do the same") and as sure as the sun rises every morning, there's going to be a couple of moderate puke Republicans criticizing Broun, and will probably call for him to be censured or ask him to resign.

Broun should stand his ground and tell his critics to go pound cement.

I’m thinking about it but it has to be from all areas. We need to work together, NRA, talk radio, right to life, pumas, nobamas, etc. Local won’t help.

The gays marched after they were defeated and I think that’s great. That’s what we should all be able to do. Just because this guy was elected doesn’t mean we have to agree with what he is trying to do.

And I think Free Republic needs to be as involved as they were during the election. If the democrats go after this congressman, we need to make it headlines, scream about free speech, etc. We need to make the abortion and gun issues news. Show what he campaigned and what he is doing. See if Fox will join in telling Americans what is really going on.

Even that kid who was thrown off the football team for a racial slur. How many racial slurs are in Obama’s book? Do the people know any of them?

In all honesty, I think he was just pandering to an audience of LEO and ER personnel.

I think the national security force is about as real as Clinton’s promise to keep a kosher kitchen in the Whitehouse.

My question about what it would do is sarcastic, there is no LEO function in the US that is not covered, and duplicated.

Don’t forget nukes and most importantly block captains, neighborhood protection zones, area field marshalls and data collection/reporting districts and finally the children corps who will be reporting directly to the block captains any irregularities that will probably take place in the home. Expect rebellious parents and family members. Children will be the key to the civilian security corps. Details to be worked out but one suggestion is a bounty of $1,000 to children per adult reported for infractions against the state. /s

Forget the abortion issue for now . We need to focus on security and preservation of the Republic.There is time for that later
