If Barr's votes had gone to Palin and her running mate they would have won North Carolina and Indiana. North Carolina: Obama 49.9%, Palin 49.5%, Barr 0.6$ Indiana Obama 49.9%, Palin 49%, Barr 1.1% This would have been more important in a closer election, but it caught my interest when I looked the figures up.
Barr took votes but so didn’t Nader.
Losertarians are worse than useless.
To the best of my knowledge, Indiana hasn’t been decided yet and is in our favor.
Any theories about an Obama landslide are extremely delusional.
There were a 1/2 dozen states that were very close and about 1/2 dozen more that were within 10%, more than enough to get an electoral majority if we dont run another McCain.
Libertarians are deceiving...
Sure, but in the above two states, Barr plus McCain would be above 50%.
I suspect that in the states where Nader kept Obama under 50%, Obama won anyway...
Yes, but don’t you know that at the end of the day liberdopians feel so good about themselves. Hope they love the H*ll out of what they are going to get from Hussein Obama.
Juan was a drag on the ticket.
The libertarians didn’t run a libertarian for President.
How about Republicans quite whining about third parties being spoilers and give the third party voters some incentive to vote for them (e.g. not doubling the size of government in eight years)?
We have to do something about these damned Libertarians.
They’ve cost us Senate seats from coast to coast for over a decade and are creating more havoc as we speak.
We need an army of money to underwrite leftists to primary congressional Dems. And more money for Green Party candidates in the general.
Just noticed I misspelled Carolina in the title. My mind must be on Carolyn Kennedy, the once and future Princess of the enlightened and unwashed.
well said — these idiots make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Indiana is gone. Obama.
excuses are for losers. the GOP ran a crappy candidate and crappy campaign, that is why they lost...not Bob Barr for pity’s sake!
Well said!
Who cares? If Barr stopped McCain from winning Virgina, Ohio, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Nevada, it would have made a difference.
Nader wasn’t on the ballot in NC
