UK's Brown: Now is the time to build global society - New World Order Alert

LONDON (Reuters) - The international financial crisis has given world leaders a unique opportunity to create a truly global society, Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown will say in a keynote foreign policy speech on Monday.

In his annual speech at the Lord Mayor's Banquet, Brown -- who has spearheaded calls for the reform of international financial institutions -- will say Britain, the United States and Europe are key to forging a new world order.

"The alliance between Britain and the U.S. -- and more broadly between Europe and the U.S. -- can and must provide leadership, not in order to make the rules ourselves, but to lead the global effort to build a stronger and more just international order," an excerpt from the speech says.

Brown and other leaders meet in Washington next weekend to discuss longer term solutions for dealing with economic issues following a series of coordinated moves on interest rates and to recapitalize banks in the wake of the financial crisis.

"Uniquely in this global age, it is now in our power to come together so that 2008 is remembered not just for the failure of a financial crash that engulfed the world but for the resilience and optimism with which we faced the storm, endured it and prevailed," Brown will say in his speech on Monday evening.

"...And if we learn from our experience of turning unity of purpose into unity of action, we can together seize this moment of change in our world to create a truly global society."

According to a summary of the speech released by his office, Brown will set out five great challenges the world faces.

Gordon Brown submerged his leftist ambition for power so Tony Blair the more moderate one could lead the Labour Party first.

Gordie is a far leftie and this is the real man speaking his piece.

Oh rubbish!
The British are so inward looking an singular, that up to today, they still refuse to even join the European currency, the Euro. If they won't even give up any sovereignty over their currency to fellow Europeans, how can they start talking about “global societies”?
Hey Gordon Brown, charity begins at home.

Only an observation from a worldly guy...but there are about fifty different political figures around the world who have spoken this since 1990 (oddly, after the Reagan era).

Four US presidents, Senator Obama...and even John Kerry have spoken of this “new world order”. Tony Blair used it several times. Two French presidents have used the expression. At least two German presidents. A dozen-odd Italian presidents (not that they really come and go...mostly, they go) have spoken these words.

I believe even the last two presidents of Mexico have spoken these words.

In fact, the only guys that I’m pretty sure who have have not spoken these words are Putin of Russia, Kim of North Korea, Castro of Cuba, and ex-Governor Spitzer of NY (who was kinda busy but we won’t talk about that).

So when you are a lonely political figure and have to write up a nifty political speech that lasts 60 minutes....always uses these expressions: “new world order”, “change and hope”, “global warming”, “we defeated Hitler and we can defeat this”, and finally “we must do this for our next generation”.

Frankly, I am pleased to thank MSM over the past twenty years for giving me the text of every single important speech....which I regard nintey percent of them wasted time and space today. As for the folks who paid tickets for PM Gordon Browns dinner speech....rest assured...across the way is a pub where some mighty fine ale will be served. So just slip out and guzzle up two pints and hustle back as he proclaims “God save the Queen” at the end.

Well, that’s a convenient way to explain it away. But what if it’s there intention? Was the EU not a huge step in this direction? Is there anything that is happened in the past 20 years that would convince you that it is definitely not their intention/agenda?

He wants to restore “faith in democracy” in a one party state?

Its a word or a phrase...without any beef to it. Kinda like speeches by Bill Clinton. After you read most of his texts...it really doesn’t say much at all. In fact, Obama even beats Clinton...in that none of his texts ever involve solid facts or data or achievements.

The EU has marched around like a 6-year old child when speaking the “new world order”, but where exactly have their results been written in stone? EU economics are a joke. Their banking system is in the same failure position as US banks. EU industry is moving out...to countries outside of the EU...to build their products. EU farming hasn’t really improve one single bit. Other than crossing borders more freely...can I see a “new world order”....but actually I’m just shopping in a cheaper taxed country.

The United States and Australia have a federal system. That makes them different than other countries. Although our President’s may agree to a treaty, it is still subject to the advice and consent of the Senate. Then, unless it is self executing, the federal and state legislatures must pass the laws to implement it. The International community has a problem with this. In their mind, treaties made by the President should be binding. Our form of government does not fit in with their hierarchial governments.

A sovereign government is one where there is no power higher. We would be giving up our sovereignty if we concede to global government and international tribunals.

I am starting to put the UK in that same category as France. It is disgusting to see once great countries swirling around in the toilet bowl.

It’s old news that Bush already signed the official papers for a “new partnership” with Canada, Mexico and the U.S. The words chosen may slightly differ but it all boils down to “New World Order” that Americans will protest when it comes down, and considering at least 1,000 concentration-like camps have and are being built across the U.S. to incarcerate American dissidents who disapprove of the NWO and the “socialist” government, enforced by the Militia.
