Only an observation from a worldly guy...but there are about fifty different political figures around the world who have spoken this since 1990 (oddly, after the Reagan era).
Four US presidents, Senator Obama...and even John Kerry have spoken of this “new world order”. Tony Blair used it several times. Two French presidents have used the expression. At least two German presidents. A dozen-odd Italian presidents (not that they really come and go...mostly, they go) have spoken these words.
I believe even the last two presidents of Mexico have spoken these words.
In fact, the only guys that I’m pretty sure who have have not spoken these words are Putin of Russia, Kim of North Korea, Castro of Cuba, and ex-Governor Spitzer of NY (who was kinda busy but we won’t talk about that).
So when you are a lonely political figure and have to write up a nifty political speech that lasts 60 minutes....always uses these expressions: “new world order”, “change and hope”, “global warming”, “we defeated Hitler and we can defeat this”, and finally “we must do this for our next generation”.
Frankly, I am pleased to thank MSM over the past twenty years for giving me the text of every single important speech....which I regard nintey percent of them wasted time and space today. As for the folks who paid tickets for PM Gordon Browns dinner speech....rest assured...across the way is a pub where some mighty fine ale will be served. So just slip out and guzzle up two pints and hustle back as he proclaims “God save the Queen” at the end.
Well, that’s a convenient way to explain it away. But what if it’s there intention? Was the EU not a huge step in this direction? Is there anything that is happened in the past 20 years that would convince you that it is definitely not their intention/agenda?
