Grassroots conservatives here's our next battle: save Norm Coleman
The Collins Report ^ | November 9, 2008 | Kevin “Coach” Collins

Posted on 11/09/2008 4:13:55 AM PST by jmaroneps37

Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman is now just over 220 votes ahead of Democrat Al Franken in the race for the final available senate seat in America. While it would be easy to say, “Well Coleman didn’t vote for this bill or that bill, let him go” this is defeatist, suicidal and sets back our fight to rebuild our conservative movement.

Coleman has a lifetime 73% American Conservative Union rating, substantially larger than the voters of Minnesota, but not the American people deserve.

Minnesota’s other senator, Amy Klobucher shows us what Franken would be like. Klobucher’s lifetime American Conservative Union rating is 4%.

Franken would strive for and likely deserve a zero ACU rating then brag about it. He’d make Klobucher the house conservative.

Norm Coleman’s road back to Washington is getting steeper by the hour. There is credible evidence that the man doing the recount of Minnesota’s votes is a tool of ACORN.

Mark Ritchie the Minnesota Secretary of State is a Democrat’s Democrat. He was endorsed in 2006 by these groups, each of whom hate conservatism and would make America a gray faceless Soviet socialist country when given the chance.

Minnesota ACORN Political Action Committee

American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME)

Education Minnesota

League of Young Voters/League of Pissed-Off Voters

Minnesota AFL-CIO

NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota Election Fund

Planned Parenthood of Minnesota Political Action Fund

Progressive Action of Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin

Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Minnesota State Council

Southside Pride

Stonewall DFL

These groups will love Franken as well.

America and conservatism can’t lose Norm Coleman.

He needs money for this recount. If each of us doesn’t personally step up, its over and the socialists will steal this seat.

Any questions about what we have to do?

Send him whatever you can http://www.colemanforsenate.com/splash

Coleman deserves to lose.

I don't deserve to lose. I'm voting with money to help Coleman preserve his narrow election victory in the recount. Ronald Reagan, were he alive, would help Coleman. Jimmy Carter would help Franken.

Mitch Daniels can name Lugar’s successor and Hagel’s seat was won by Republican Mike Johanns. We have 41 solid seats when you count Steven’s 3,353 vote margin of victory in Alaska, we more than likely have another, 42, if and when Chambliss wins his run off with Martin in GA. Coleman’s recout will be razor thin, I hope he wins. Oh yeah, if Reid strips Lieberman of his chairmanship of the Senate Homeland Security Committee because of his strong support for McCain, the CT Independent said he would caucus with the Repubs.

After the rats steal this election, how many dead people do you think will have “voted” for Franken?
This is the Washington state govenor’s election all over again.

If you are fine with Democrats literally stealing an election, and all because you don’t agree with a policy of the man being screwed, then I have to question your motives. Rule of law supercedes policy positions. It’s pretty cut and dry to me.

Norm is no Jim Inhofe, to be sure, but he’s a pretty reliable Republican from a liberal state. I wouldn’t put him in the same category as Susan Collins, Gordon Smith, or Olympia Snowe.

Regardless, we need Coleman’s vote to stop card check.

>>>>>I can't believe the number of Freepers who believe it's ok to steal elections ...

I'm not one of those FReepers. Stealing an election is wrong. That wasn't my point. If Norm Coleman is the best the GOP can offer and if this is the best he can do against a low life like Al Franken, then he deserves to lose. Btw, Coleman is no friend of conservatism. Period.

Coleman is really also part of the political problem because he’s a RINO Republican and not a conservative Republican. I still remember Coleman’s vote against drilling for oil in Alaska and how close the total vote was in the Senate. This country is really feeling it now, thanks, in part, to Coleman’s vote against drilling for oil in Alaska. If the Democrats and “leftist” Republicans are going to go off a cliff together, then the more the merrier for the long-term of politics, that is, if conservatives are able to seriously and successfully make any kind of political comeback at any point in the future.

My prediction: the Rats are gonna steal this election, just like they stole the governorship in Washington state.

I know, you are rooting for Al Franken. That is one reason why conservatives lose elections. They are not as smart as the opposition.

I root for conservatism. Obviously, your rooting for moderatism and liberalism to triumph over conservatism. After 5+ years around here you obviously haven’t learned anything.

>>>An article I read last night said that a stack of absentee ballots from the Minneapolis area just showed up. Coleman was suing to keep them from being opened because there was sketchy information about the chain of possession of these ballots. Coleman’s lawyer demanded a full accounting of the chain of possession before they could be opened and counted.<<<

Say it isn’t so! Imagine that .... ballots just appearing out of thin air when a democrap is recounting votes ...
You have a link so we can make this known?

Do you think it's wrong to steal elections or not? You're talking out of both sides of your mouth.

Coleman did not lose the election. He won. Now the RATS are trying to steal the election on a recount.

What difference does it make if he's a conservative or a RINO? He won. Now he deserves to be declared the victor.

If you don't like him, next time run a conservative. We're talking two different issues here.

Wake up already! If Franken was ahead by 220 votes, Coleman would aslo be challenging the vote count. On legal grounds too. You think not? LOL Would Coleman be trying to steal the election then?

>>>>>If you don't like him, next time run a conservative. We're talking two different issues here.

In case you didn't know, or perhaps forgot. One of the major purposes of this forum is to promote conservative candidates. Not moderates or liberals.

Look. I'm promoting the idea that NO ONE deserves to have an election stolen from them. It has NOTHING to do with being either a conservative or RINO.

I believe Coleman won this election fair and square and does not deserve to have it stolen from him.

I believe Democrats have a history of stealing elections and it will get worse with each election because they have success and our side is not aggressively enough trying to stop it.

I say again. If it was Coleman behind by 220 votes, don't you think he'd be demanding a recount? I sure do. And the idea that Republicans are somehow more ethical then Democrats, is something that doesn't jive with the reality and occurances during the last eight years.

Truth be told. This has everything to do with Coleman being a RINO and not a conservative.

As conservatives, we have to move beyond the loss of this election. The bitterness on display here since last Tuesdays election results is becoming sickening to witness. We lost! Time to move on.

You don't get it. You don't like Coleman so you don't care what happens to him.

If you think that the RATS are not trying to steal this election, you don't know RATS.

This election is taylor made for their style of theft.

It is impossible to know how many thousands of fraudulent votes are already built into where it is now. The RATs problem so far is that they haven't been able to destroy enough Coleman votes and manufacture enough Freaken votes--but they will. Especially when those who are on our side actually think it's ok for Democrats to steal elections when we dont' like the Republican.

You're aiding and abetting the Democrats and making the next candidate that you might like, more vulnerable because no one tries to put a stop to this.

Familiarize yourself with methods RATS use. For you to side with these RATS is disgusting. You're willing to look the other way to voter fraud and then pretend you're so pure. You're Democrats best friend.
