Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman is now just over 220 votes ahead of Democrat Al Franken in the race for the final available senate seat in America. While it would be easy to say, Well Coleman didnt vote for this bill or that bill, let him go this is defeatist, suicidal and sets back our fight to rebuild our conservative movement.
Coleman has a lifetime 73% American Conservative Union rating, substantially larger than the voters of Minnesota, but not the American people deserve.
Minnesotas other senator, Amy Klobucher shows us what Franken would be like. Klobuchers lifetime American Conservative Union rating is 4%.
Franken would strive for and likely deserve a zero ACU rating then brag about it. Hed make Klobucher the house conservative.
Norm Colemans road back to Washington is getting steeper by the hour. There is credible evidence that the man doing the recount of Minnesotas votes is a tool of ACORN.
Mark Ritchie the Minnesota Secretary of State is a Democrats Democrat. He was endorsed in 2006 by these groups, each of whom hate conservatism and would make America a gray faceless Soviet socialist country when given the chance.
Minnesota ACORN Political Action Committee
American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME)
Education Minnesota
League of Young Voters/League of Pissed-Off Voters
Minnesota AFL-CIO
NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota Election Fund
Planned Parenthood of Minnesota Political Action Fund
Progressive Action of Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin
Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Minnesota State Council
Southside Pride
Stonewall DFL
These groups will love Franken as well.
America and conservatism cant lose Norm Coleman.
He needs money for this recount. If each of us doesnt personally step up, its over and the socialists will steal this seat.
Any questions about what we have to do?
Send him whatever you can http://www.colemanforsenate.com/splash

Especially if Lugar and Hagel defect and join the Obama Administration.
If he will PUBLICLY COMMIT to voting NAY to "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" (i.e AMNESTY for 20 million illegals, the first step in turning them in to Democrat bloc voters) in the Senate the MINUTE Obama's forces have it introduced in 2009, then maybe I will consider sending some money.
Until then, NOTHING.
This is not a one way street.
We need some concession, something MAJOR from Coleman, to activate FR on behalf of him--although I appreciate what is at stake.
Call this "Conditional Conservatism"
Just my take, but I suspect most Freepers will feel the same when getting last minute pleas from a RINO in trouble.
They were pretty much on that side of the aisle anyway. Don’t forget Lindsay and Juan MaCain.
I agree.
I agree... We need to realize the difference between a RINO from a Blue state like Minnesota, and a RINO from say South Carolina (Ms Lindsay).
IMO, Coleman is a huge bonus. As is even Collins and Snowe from deep blue Maine. Rock ribbed conservatives are not going to win in these states. That’s a fact.
And while we don’t want them to personify the Republican party, or become leaders, their voting records pale in conparision. Look at Snowe and Collins (both avg lifetime 50% from ACU). While not great, compare to their liberal House counterparts from Maine Allen (5) Michaud (16). Or compare to so-called conservative Dems like Landreau (22), and Webb (12).
In addition it gives us seats we have no business holding.
This is what the Ds have been doing for 2 cycles. Running conservative Dems in GOP states/districts and then giving the real power to Reid Pelosi.
Once the cat is out of the bag it is too late to stop it. The Liberals know have control of the election commissions in America.
If pubbies aren’t willing to go to the wall for Coleman, there is no hope.
Hagel retired and was replaced by a Republican.
Lugar would be replaced by Indiana’s GOP governor.
There is nothing defeatist about that hypothetical ... suicidal perhaps.
...sets back our fight to rebuild our conservative movement.
Electing a Rino is what would set back the rebuilding of "our" conservative movement.
Take back the language!
While I understand having an "R" in office, whether it stands for rino, republican or reformer, is infinitely better than any "D", hitching the Rino to the Conservative movement is deceptive.
Republican and Conservative are NOT synonymous!
I contributed more than once to an actual Conservative candidate in MN. Perhaps you are aware of her? She is the one the republican party threw under the bus a week or so before the election.
P.S. SHE WON!!!
Wouldn’t Dems be miffed if a position as high as sec of state were given to a Republican, even if it’s Lugar? I kind of hope it happens though so then Gov Daniels could appoint a younger, hopefully more conservative senator.
It's time we put a stop to RATS stealing elections!!
We need to storm MN.
Next time it will be a conservative.
I would say, he will take the "deal" with conservatives.
Nothing comes for free.
If Norm's people are reading this, I would hope they would come forward with an "offer" to get the negotiations going.
I have to agree!!! Polly
He must negotiate with the Conservative Wing if he wants support. All the RINOs that want to go up to Minnesota in a van without getting any concessions from the guy are fine with me, but you wont find me anywhere near there, or my wallet for that matter, unless certain "must haves" are guaranteed. The major one for me and many others is Immigration and Amnesty.
Welcome to politics.
Welcome to horse trading.
He needs us now more than we need him.
An article I read last night said that a stack of absentee ballots from the Minneapolis area just showed up. Coleman was suing to keep them from being opened because there was sketchy information about the chain of possession of these ballots. Coleman’s lawyer demanded a full accounting of the chain of possession before they could be opened and counted.
True, However the election is over, the out come will be the out come. This is no hanging chads deal.
I don't remember receiving a party invitation. How was the champagne?
