A man wearing a McCain-Palin T-shirt during a Philadelphia celebration on election night was arrested, cuffed and stuffed into a police cruiser, and supporters said it was for no more than wearing the endorsement of the GOP nominees for president and vice-president. Although the man protested that he didn't want to cause any trouble, officers manhandled and arrested him, the video posted on YouTube shows.

"If only the Hitler had thought of that. He could have put the jews into camps before Crystalnacht for their own protection." If I'm not mistaken, that was one of the arguments the FDR Administration gave for interning Japanese-Americans.

Philadelphia is a communist stronghold. I will never go into that city again, if at all possible.
Other cities in this same realm include San Fransicko, Los Angeles, Detroit, Oakland and New York.

This public suppression is just a warning. It will spread to private expression next. The message from the Obomatrons is this: watch what you say, watch what you do. I expect the next step will be reporting to "officials" of private conversations critical of The Almighty Obomba. Any critical word overheard by an Obombabot will be duly noted and reported to the authorities. Then expect a knock on the door in the dead of night, a quick scuffle, followed by the mysterious disappearance of "an agitator".

Excellent points in your posts. When I woke up this morning, my first thought was about this story. It should bother everyone to no end. The police abridge a man's Constitutional right to protest peacefully (a plastic sword is not a threat last time I checked, neither is wearing a McCain/Palin T-shirt or a Batman suit for that matter) and going with the logic of “they arrested him for his own protection” you have just entered the arena of the rule of anarchy. The anarchist always wins because they are always the greater threat than the law abiding citizen who should have the freedom of speech and expression in a public arena to be heard also.
(I also might add that if the cops indeed did anticipate lawlessness or rioting in that particular crowd couldn't someone cry “racism”?)

Police never have to remove, for his own safety, an Obama T-shirt-wearing individual from a crowd of McCain supporters.

Police would never have to remove, for his own safety, an Obama T-shirt-wearing individual from a crowd of McCain supporters. Scary.

"That being said, I wonder how all of the Obama supporters feel about our rights concerning freedom of speech."I'm sure they feel that they can say whatever they want but if you're not black you can't say $#!+.

"I gotta side with the cops on this. Its not right, but the cops may have saved his life as well as a few others." You may be right but that's appeasement and it never works. Committing wrong acts and sacrificing others to stave off a coming confrontation with evil is a prescription for disaster.
