As I said earlier I have some knowledge on this subject and states have had laws regulating access to "vital records" for a long time...long before anyone even heard of "identity theft".Yes,it could be true that Hawaii just recently changed their laws.In Massachusetts,for example,anyone can *still* walk into state offices and get a copy of *anyone's* vital record...except adoption records.No need to show ID or anything.Also,here,until a few years ago you could bring a Mass license plate number into any DMV office and get the owner's name and address.That stopped when it was learned that stalkers were using this method.I think it was after a woman was murdered.

Regardless of how Hawaii's laws read,osama's records should be open *at least* to the press and the RNC.

My only consideration is this.

If (and I am saying IF because we do not know) Obama was adopted by Soetoro his original Certificate of Live Birth is sealed by the court just as in any other adoption. Not even Obama could get access to it.

So for the sake of this discussion assume that there was a legal adoption:
His legal name was Soetoro.

After he became of age he could have filed for a legal name change as well as a corrected birth certificate. However, his parents would still be listed as Lolo and Stanley Ann.

That is a good indicator as to whether or not the ones put forth by the campaign are fakes. Adoptions are not overturned by the courts just because the adoptee is of age.

I trust obama as far as I can throw him, but every possibility needs to be explored.

If the Electoral College were to throw Obama out as a candidate, then he wouldn’t be president, so perhaps the rule of handing it on down to the VP might not apply

That's my thought. Let's face it, if Obama were proven a fraud and ineligible to have been running in the first place, wouldn't that nullify his selection of Biden as VP? If he were running illegally, how could his pick of VP be upheld as legal if he were in no position to make the pick in the first place? Ya know? A LEGIT candidate might have selected someone other than Biden. (A legit candidate with a BRAIN most certainly would have, at any rate.)

Hawaii in 1961 had different listings for race on birth certificates than the rest of the U.S. According to what I read last night if the child had two different race parents then the race or national origin of the father was listed on the birth certificate. Obama Sr was African hence the designation of “African”. Gov. Lingle didn’t seal the records for Jr, the Department of Health did according to a report in “The Honolulu Advertiser” last week. The clever use of semantics still has people wondering as the reporter who wrote the story advised “that the State of Hawaii has verified that Obama Jr was born in Hawaii” but this is not what the reps said. They said there was a file for Jr which doesn’t mean much considering how lax Hawaii is regarding registrations of birth up to a year after birth and foreign births can be registered in Hawaii if the parent was a resident of Hawaii for a year.

The other thing to consider is this

If (again a great big IF) the document put out by the campaign is real it means contrary to everything we have been told—Obama was never adopted by Soetoro.

You just cannot change a parent’s name on a birth certificate on a whim. So why the big lie about being adopted?

I find the font rather interesting for 1963 Arial not Times Roman aka typewriter. Hmmmmm, Hawaii must have had PCs and laser printers long before they were invented.

IIRC in Indonesia a man does not formally go through an adoption procedure. He just states this child belongs to me, and assumes parenthood.

Their is documentation in Berg's challenge for an adult or BO himself legally changing his name (two or three time). Six names Plus (male Child):

Their is also a charge of perjury because he state on his application for law license that he has never gone by another name.

Just checked the State of Hawaii website.It said that the general public is not allowed access to an individual's vital records unless it's the person to whom the record applies and a few other types of people (mostly relatives).It also specifically states that only those who can get an official copy of a record can even get an acknowledgment that a record even exists.So,in other words,if a reporter from CNN or the Chairman of the RNC were to walk into the state office in Honolulu and ask either for a copy of Osama's COLB or simply confirmation that one exists that individual would,under Hawaii law,walk away with *nothing*...not even a confirmation.

One would think that Osama could consent to those restrictions be waived in his case....if he wanted to.
