Just checked the State of Hawaii website. It said that the general public is not allowed access to an individual's vital records unless it's the person to whom the record applies and a few other types of people (mostly relatives). It also specifically states that only those who can get an official copy of a record can even get an acknowledgment that a record even exists. So,in other words,if a reporter from CNN or the Chairman of the RNC were to walk into the state office in Honolulu and ask either for a copy of Osama's COLB or simply confirmation that one exists that individual would, under Hawaii law, walk away with *nothing*...not even a confirmation.
One would think that Osama could consent to those restrictions be waived in his case....if he wanted to.
